ok let's be realistic. pac beat the mexican legends when they were past their prime, BUT they were the ones he HAD to beat to get to the top of the mountain. just like rocky marciano beat past it legends, they were still the best around at the time so you can't begrudge him that.

and PLEASE don't say he should've fought ****ing valero, soto, guzman, and in chin kim chi or whatever the **** his name is to rise to the top.

Pacman would beat JCC and a Prime Morales IMO. Morales wasn't too far off in the 2nd fight and Pac was improved. Prime for prime It think i would be closer but Manny still wins. First fight Manny was not in his prime and growing into 130. I think Manny hit his stride showing me new things againts Diaz and DLH although those oppenents weren't what they were suppose to be. Manny would crack top 25-30 ATG with a DOMINANT win against Hatton, It will help make an argument for his dominance over DLH not being completely due to other circumstances.

Pac beats prime JCC? Please explain to me how you arrive at this conclusion. No way in hell man. Against Morales I think that they can trade fights with Erik winning some times and Manny winning others. They are very evenly matched but no way in hell he beats a prime JCC

 

JCC lost to Whitaker, zoo, DLH, Meldrick Taylor. He will have problems with a speedy agressive southpaw like Manny with great feet. I think that fight will be competative at least. I see Manny with a great chance againts chavez. This is ofcourse based on seeing manny in his most recent fights, a dominant win againts hatton will convince me of it.

Call me dumb but Im not the only one who thinks so. So its not too controversial a statement. It is hard to compare past fighters with present fighters because past fighters carry a mystique about them. I think Pacman will have the same 10 years down the road and current greats would be an insulting comparisson.

There is no need to mention Whitikar here. Manny has none of the tools that gave whitikar an advantage over Chavez. Whitikar has arguably one ofthe top 10 defenses of all time in the sport while Manny is relativly easy to hit. JCC was a fossil when he fought Tzyu so I wouldn't count that one either, DLH was huge at those weights and Manny would not enjoy that size advantage and I don't know which Taylor fight you are talking about cause Chavez won both of the ones that I saw.

The Taylor fight is an interesting example though. IMO it shows how chavez would beat Manny. The Manny's speed and come forward pressure would work well at first but Chavez's body work would wear him down and he would get KO'd in the end.
