Mayweather Srn is not what will cost Hatton the fight, it is Hatton who cost himself the fight for hiring Snr.

I always said Hatton hiring Mayweather snr was a stupid publicity stunt by Hatton to maybe get a rematch with Mayweather, it will backfire big time.

yeah i have thought this on many occasions, when i see hatton thowing the flashy combos on the pads with may sr if he tries that **** against pac he is gonna get ****ed, once he tastes pacs first combo it will be back to the old limited ricky

no... its pretty simple. if it is a mid to long range fight, he has slim chances... as it favors pacs preferred style and quickness of lateral movement. he needs to fight in the trenches, make pac fight off his back foot and out of ring centre as much as possible. he has to have the same mindset but incorporate a jab as the table setter to get in range more, like he started to implement in his last match. also, i think the clinches will be key. if manny is as strong physically in the clinch, that will alter the course of the match greatly. i like that hatton is more focused on using a jab and head movement... i think those are two of the cornerstone in terms of negating speed. personally, if i was hatton, i would make the fight as ugly as possible early... use the clinches and invest in the body... then build

Hattons boxing is underrated. Of course he can box, he's a bloody world champion for christ sake. If he couldn't box then he wouldn't be where he is today. Everyone calling him stupid because he steams in, he's got the heart of a lion and Floyd will help him calm down a little and use his aggeression in a more controlled manner. I think he looked very controlled against Mallignaggi. He didnt revert to type after the 1st round which was a close one. He remained calm and stuck to the gameplan. I for one think a lot of people will be suprised after this fight
