    If Froch beats Taylor then no, becuase he would have beaten a marquee US fighter early in his reign, unlike Calzaghe and get the accompanying acclaim stateside andmore big fights lined up.

    True but then the U.S. quite simply had no marquee fighters at super middle for most of Calzaghe's reign. Most of the U.S. fighters were fairly middle of the road. The first time one did emerge, he got beat like a red headed stepchild!
