Makes you wonder what the glove's were like in Louis day? (Size/Padding/Oz. ect...) I disagree on Joe having a bad chin, considering Mike was also Ko'ed multiple times.
Joe Louis has a great chin. He was stopped twice, once pre-prime, once post-prime, both time by insane, sustanined beatings from elite punchers. Tyson's chin is better in terms of pure punch resistance, but in terms of real-wired momentum changing chin at the highest level, he's a close second for me. Never been off the canvas to win.
190lbs vs 220lb prime Tyson who was faster, bigger, stronger and better defensively? Yeah we know the answer here kids.
Louis by late TKO. Too good of a jab and that short right hand would catch Mike coming in everytime. MIke was great & all but not against a polished boxer with power such as the Brown Bomber.
It is hard to compare guys from such different eras. I doubt anyone in the 1930's and 1940's compares to a young Mike Tyson of 1987 or so.
Other than there height (baring in mind Mike was taller) there are NO comparisons between Frazier and Tyson. Mike was superior in EVERY aspect than Frazier.
Tyson didn't beat Holyfield because his boxing skills were inferior to Holyfields. His firepower could not save him. Louis was a better boxer than Tyson and he feared no one. The boxers who were not afraid of Tyson whipped his ass. I pick Louis by ko, with Tyson having a punchers chance.
WTF man, tell me when it was that Tyson exhibeted better Heart Pressure Endurance Stamina than Joe Frazier? The only place there are NO COMPARISONS between them are their best wins, Muhammad Ali for Joe and...what? Ex-Lightheavyweight champion Micheal Spinks for Mike? Or washed up Holmes?
I agree Louis wins BUT Tyson was rusty when he fought Holy due to his prison time, IMO alot of guys were not scared of Tyson and still lost, Louis wins because he is better not because he isn't afraid.
