just what the title said, whos a hatton fan from the u.s, because from what im reading there doesnt seem to be many but im sure they is some. and please haters and nuthaggers stay away
I like the guy, not really a fan, but I'm picking him to win. I think he will just be too big and tough on the night for Pac. Mind you I was wrong on the Taylor/Froch fight though, but just 16 seconds off.
Watching the 24/7 series really got me to liking the guy, he seems like a cool, funny dude. I respect the fact he is trying to become a more technically efficient boxer/puncher and i wish him the best although i think Manny will prove to be to much for Hatton.
not meaning to give you a big head but from posts ive seen you seem always to give a balanced view and i think you are one of the well respected posters on here. im a huge hatton fan but i think he loses in 5 ( i pray im wrong)
i think there is too much **** talked about the english and the yanks between each other, im a huge fan of many american fighters
something I think a lot of people arent considering is that manny looked cool beating up a starved, post-prime de la hoya recently and that is fresh in peoples minds. I think that is contributing to the 'underdog hatton feel' overall I like both fighters a lot and I think hatton will win by unanimous decision, though I hope paquiao will win because I like his intensity and it would be a real boxing landmark. I cant wait though
I appreciate the kind words. I try and stick with what I know and I'm weak on the finer points so I try and stick with the broader view. Hatton recognized a weakness, made a tough decision, and went with a new trainer. That tells me he knew what he didn't know. Being honest with yourself is a key here. If Floyd teaches him enough defense to make a difference, his chances get better as the fight goes on since he is the bigger guy. Loses in 5? Hatton is just way too tough for that. If he is knocked out he still aint leaving the ring in 5.
hattons punch resistance is what i worry about, its not what it used to be, hes not got a glass chin but hes being hurt by punches he never used to
I am not a Yank but I am a big HATTON FAN. The only grievance I have with Ricky is not fighting Witter when he was WBU champ but the guy had the balls to drop Warren and fight the best! Pac is being over hyper right now and JMM hurt him during their fight. The way I see it is Hatton will get rough and physical and will land harder shots than Pac has ever felt before.
What if you don't enjoy his hitting and holding style? What if you think he's a phony? What if you get annoyed by him blaming a referee for him losing a fight in which he lost pretty much every round and was knocked out? Not everyone has to be a fan of Hatton.
Im a fan of Hatton and I live in California. However I am also a Pacman fan and will be routing for him come Saturday. I love brawlers and punchers.
