Interesting. Why do you think he doesnt seem focused? Or are you referring to one of the articles that was on ESB?
hmm says... I believe he will come in as focused as usual. All that smiling, joking, and laughing he does before the fight and during fight night shows that he can be focused while being RELAXED. Shouldn't be seen as a flaw for Pac. Just think of the many fighters that showed up in the ring focused but TENSED..
cant counter punch very well so he covers up when attacked (ricky should unload combos then tie him up till ref steps in). needs room to set up his offence so he has trouble with pressure (ricky should never be outside of range as pac is the best at closing the distance quickly when firing his money punch). lunges when firing his left so is open to someone stepping to the side and throwing right upper (very hard to time due to pacs speed). does not give you many angles when moving back so ricky should gamble often on throwing a lunging right (pac is not a counter puncher so lunging is not as dangerous against him). has shown signs of favoring his body when hit there (ricky should go to the body hard and often). manny is a gifted fighter but he does have more flaws than you would think a p4p king should have. his speed, movement and strength are usually enough against men his size but he can be beat.
This was the same way he was acting going into the first Marquez and the first Morales fight, Manny is un focused that doesnt mean an automatic loss though, he is in fighting shape but mentally I dont think he is interested in this fight I think he is a bit distracted. I was training at Wildcard for both the Marquez and Morales fight, from the way Manny has been acting for this fight it reminds me of the way he was acting prior to those fights. When pacquiao is not distracted and when he is 100% game you dont have the same jokes comming from him, he smiles yes but isnt full of laughter the way he has been, usally when Pacquiao has given 100% in the gym he is a different person all together especially this close to the fight its not a good sign IMO I have seen this before like I said and its costed him.
The main flaw I see in Pac is that he throws punches when he's off balance sometimes...I also think he drops his right hand at times when he throws his left hand hard!
Just never seems to be a multi dimensional fighter. He seems to just go through the same motions over and over like pad work almost with just maybe a new punch being added here and there. We shall see. Its still quite effective, hell Tito Trinidad made a HOF career out of a similar fighting style, but when he stepped up against a fighter who was stronger than he was, it did start to look one dimensional.
hmm says... true. Pac's last two fight against DLH and Diaz leaves it up to question that's why I disagreed with your previous comment on predictablity and repetition. Gameplan/strategy plays a big part. I just feel that whatever strategy/gameplan they utilize will play a big part in that concept and what better way to test with a top fighter this Saturday :good
His stamina is questionable. In both Marquez fights and in the first Morales fight he got very tired in the late rounds. He comes in with his head which can lead to him getting a headbutt, like in the Morales fight. I also think he can be hurt to the body, since his KO's were from body shots, very few opponents have tried to take advantage of his body, hatton will.
Pacman is left handed in his fighting style.....the worst thing that can possibly be wrong with him in boxing, a southpaw. He would be better off with AIDS.
For some strange reason I think Hatton will be the one who fights out of character, and utilizes more of a strategy or gameplan. In this fight it will be THE determining factor. Maybe Im overestimating Mayweather, but I think he prepares his fighters to be more defensive and more of counterpunchers, where Roach likes full speed ahead offense.
