I disagree, mayweather had much success being defensive. He just let hatton lunge in wildly, and just picked him off. However, i do not see pacqiao being able to do this. I think hatton may win this fairly easily, pac has never been hit before the way hatton will hit him, and hatton has taken severe punishment from fighters who hit much harder than pac

Which is why his punch resistance is gone.

I want Ricky to win, but Pac stoppage between 7-9, either cuts, corner or TKO.

This happened before the Marquez fight. Lots of people were picking Pac based on the fact that he gained some incredible skills and would easily KO Marquez. These assumptions were based on the Morales 3 fight. Even those who weren't fans of pac got convinced and picked pac to KO Marquez in the later rounds. I think the same is happening due to the De La Hoya and Diaz fights.

I actually think Manny's power is being under estimated simply because he doesn't really go for a one punch knockout but yet still manages to knockout foes from time to time including boxing greats who haven't benn knocked down by anyone else.. He knocks out foes using sustained attack. Now he has learned to use hooks and uppercuts and I tend to believe those will give him a few ko's in the future.

Some of you are thinking, why then didn't he knockockout Oscar. Why then didn't he knockout David Diaz sooner?

I've watched the Pacquiao Dela Hoya fight and I didn't really see any knockout attempts by Pacman until the 7th and 8th round. It was mostly offensive jabs and straights which I don't consider knockout punches. If it went to the ninth round, I strongly believe there could have been a knockout.

In the case of David Diaz, I recall the commentators saying David Diaz is one tough cookie who refuses to go down. They mentioned his fight against Morales where he was beaten up badly but refused to go down and ended up winning the fight. I've got to see that fight and see for myself though.
