Hopkins knocks him out. Can't really blame Hopkins for wanting this fight, this would be FAR easier than even the Pavlik fight.

Froch's defense is his chin, he has the hand speed of a racing glacier, and the footwork of a one-legged wino woman. If the version of BHop that shut Pavlik down shows up, Hopkins will win by TKO anytime after 8 rounds. Probably round 10.

B-Hop will win every round. He's only taking it because it's winnable, he should take a genuine challenge, either Dawson or Adamek.

Froch has a great chin, and unlike Pavlik will not be deterred. Thing is, Hop will time and avoid his charges easily IMO, though, as we all know, you can not count out Froch.

But it'll be 118-110, something like that in favour of Hopkins.

At this moment in time it's easy to pick Hopkins by a wide UD, but he cant keep on defying logic forever. Hopkins is 44 and his age will have to catch up with him at some point if he continues fighting. Look at it this way, Hopkins lost to RJJ when he was 28 and then didn't loose again until twice to Taylor when he was 40 and then to Calzaghe when he was 43, all of which were close fights that many people feel Hopkins should have won. So Froch could beat Hopkins, but not because Froch is the better fighter, just that Hopkins is old.

Pavlik has good fundamentals. Froch doesn't keep his hands up, he is slow as mud, he keeps his lead foot to far out which turns him at an absurd angle and costs him tons of reach with his right, he doesn't throw many straight pucnhes, his jab is unimpressive. The guy is a slugger with a good chin, and a serious set of balls, period. Hopkins would land 70% of of his power punches, he would hit froch with lefts AT WILL, and stop Froch on accumulation.

Fair enough analysis Boo, just think that Froch has a better chin than Pavlik period and Kelly was so off that night and Hopkins still couldn't stop him.

Hopkins is a very hurtful puncher, don't think he will stop Froch though. Maybe a corner stoppage. Froch has balls as you say and he will keep plugging away, however, Hopkins will last until the end, Froch is heavy handed but doesn't have the kind of power tos top Hopkins (IMO) and probably won't even catch him clean anyway.

The bold underlined, in my opinion, is part of what might get Froch stopped. He doesn't have sense enough to know when he's whooped, and should not throw. That kill or be killed stuff works against a fighter who clearly was not smart enough to when to clinch or take a God Damn knee, but it will not work against BHop.

Moreover, there is no evidence that Froch has a better chin than Pavlik. Actual historical events against a common opponent indicate the exact opposite:yep

bhop should beat him, unless hops ages overnight and comes in looking shot - happens to every boxer eventually in their 40's

Froch wasn't really hurt, but Pavlik wouldn't have been hurt either if he went down from a single shot. Instead he took 15 shots, 8 were smack on flush, and some elbows and a head butt. (Watch the slow-mo.)

Froch looked scared spitless when he went down! But hey, even the great Alexis Arguello said; "First time ever I get knocked down it scared the hell out me, but then I got used to it.":yep

Froch best get used to it too, because it won't be long before his alligator mouth writes a check his humming bird ass can't cash!
