It wasn't about knowing something or confidence. It was about 3 perfect shots Manny Pacquiao placed, and when I say 'perfect', I mean absolutely, stunningly, awesomely the perfect punches and the perfect delivery when the opportunities came.

Confidence had nothing to do with it.

It's over and done with. Hatton lost to a far superior fighter with an impecable gameplan. Next up, Mayweather vs Marquez.

No, he said anyone could get KOed by one punch.

So basically what he is acknowledging is the possiblity that he could get KOed.

    There is a big difference.

C'mon guys! Hatton did NOT know he was getting KO'd. He was supremely confident in beating Pac leading up to the fight but with his modest demanor and being a very loving father! He just knows the game and that anything can happen. He didn't want his son to see his father hurt if by chance he did get KO'd. Parents or "good" parents don't take unecessay risks in protecting their kids. But no one should read in to this like he wasn't confident

If you smart guys knew he was going to get ko'd then why didn't you tell me before the fight so I could at least make a mint out of someone's misery for God's sake?

Its like me saying back in the day that Tyson was getting as much pie as he can in Japan because he KNEW that his time as heavyweight champ was over after the fight.

Sad to see the fighter you followed go out like that, although Pacman is a hell of a fighter so i guess he was the right guy to do it...time to retire Ricky.

I always think of Cotto's son crying into his mom's shoulder at the end of the Margarito fight.

Looking at the fight, many questions were raised:

    1) Was Hatton too stressed for this fight ?
    2) Was he injured in any way during his training ?
    3) Did he train too much or not enough ?
    4) Did Pacquiao intimidate him to the point of not being himself ?

Hatton knew he was guna get ko'd?
Hatton knew what he was up against and knew the risks.
He was preparing himself for a war, of course he wudnt want his kid to see.
Unfortunatly for him there was no war.
He shud retire with his head high, thanks for some great nights ricky.

I am not too sure about that. I saw that also when he was standing outside in that driveway on the HBO show, but I thought it was just being honest. What fighter doesn't know he can be knocked out? Roy Jones made a career of avoiding tough fighters who could knock him out.
