Expecting Mayweather to fight Pacquiao right off the bat after such a long lay off is ludicrous.

The Marquez fight is not as dangerous, but a damn solid test all the same.

Pacquiao won't lay a glove on Mayweather when they do finally meet.

Let's not act like JMM is a tune up here. He is a legit top 5 p4p fighter, who gave Pac all he could handle twice.

In fact, if floyd and manny fight next, many could argue Hatton was the true tune up opponent. JMM has had amazingly competitive fights against the elite of the sport. Hatton has **** the bed in two of his three toughest opponents.

This coming from a fan of all four fighters, not some Floyd groupie.

typical spoilt floyd jnr, he wanted to steal some of the limelight from the big Pac/Hat fight but too bad it proceeded to be a spectacular KO.

    Floyd jnr... fail! lol.

He didn't do much running against Hatton, Hoya, Judah, Mitchell, Gatti, Corely, Brusseles, or N'Dou.

    I beg to differ.

PBF wasn't even looking for the KO against Hatton.

He was backing around the ring, but Hatton kept charging and leaving his chin five inches in front of Floyd's gloves.

The difference between Pacquiao's assertive style v Hatton, and PBF's is spectacular - one was riding a bike, the other got his KO in 2 rounds.

The fight was signed before the Hatton-Pac fight even took place. As if he knew Pac would have won. I can see if Floyd would have signed after Pac ko hatton but that isnt the case.

Thats rubbish. Floyd isnt scared of Pac, he's loving the idea, its all about the "money" and after DLH & Hatton, Pac stock has risen so high, higher than PBF IMO as he was so much more impressive in his mainstream fights. Fighting and beating JMM will hype this fight even more.

to be fair, pac-mayweather fight (should he get past marquez) is bigger if he takes a fight first to setup the megafight

Eh... I'd say this fight would be pretty big regardless. It would be a shame if this doesn't happen because Pacquiao takes Mosley and that doesn't turn out well. Mayweather/Pacquiao is what the largest worldwide boxing audience craves.

A fight with Floyd would be huge. It has to happen. The 2 best fighters in the world. Floyd was in hollywood retirement. The guy is a genius. He waited until Pac became huge to come back. It will happen. The only way it won't, is if Pac loses before he fights Floyd.

I think he juss took Marquez as a tune up to show that he can come back after not fighting for 19 months and beat a top 3 guy. I think he'll fight Pac next IF ARUM DONT **** IT ALL UP!

Dumb ass thread. Mayweather wants to fight JMM because hes been the cloest to beat Pacquiao in 4 years. plus he did the press conference on the day of the fight saying he wants the winner basically

He didn't just come out of retirement. He just came out of hiding from having to face the Margarito-Cotto winner. That's why he went into hiding in the first place.

Suckers believe everything and anything phloyd says. Like he earned $20 million for Big show.
