its strange because although promoters weren't fighting to sign him (he almost signed for hobson ffs!) he seems to be more adapted to the pro game than others.

nice guy outside the ring, but he seems to have a bit of nastiness about him inside. i think he'll be a great entertaining domestic fighter.

I dont know the Kid, but what I have seen is a much better prospect at this Stage than Woods was for sure.

I think that's spot on.He's from my home town, but it's too early to form a real opinion at present. He's fought a couple of punch bags who weren't firing back so he obviously looked decent.
Being a good amateur he is pretty well schooled though and while you wouldn't want to see him exposed i hope they move him along at a decent rate. That good amateur background should enable them to do that.

Warren, Hennesey and Hayemaker must be kicking themselves they did not get him, he looks decent and sell **** loads of tickets.

Warren is paying DeGale 200k a fight LOL i bet he would swap DeGale for Jeffries in a heart beat.

    200 K a fight, **** ! ! !

For someone who waited around regarding offers etc, thats pretty decent.

Did he have a signing on fee, do you know it ?

    Cheers

He smothered his work and didn't pich his punches as well as the first fight he had. He seemed to just be walking straight in throwing anything. Not setting things up behind the jab or feignting. Fair enough he got the win but the manner wasn't of the impressive variety.

I agree,he looked better in the first fight, especially with the jab, because he really has a good one.I think fighting in front of his home fans and being probably over eager to please made him a bit sloppy.

I don't know much about his new trainer but it seems an odd move?

He has shown reasonably heavy hands against low level fighters. My main grip is when he lets his hands go he drops em. I'd like to see the punches leaving and coming back to the chin/cheeks. I wish him well though and hopes he does good in the pros. He has an okay following and is an Olympian.
