Anybody see the fights on Saturday night?

Jamie Myer (promoter) returned to the ring in a heavyweight bout, looking very sharp. Won fairly convincingly.

Les Sherrington in the main fight was expected to win easily over a Pakistani unknown. The fight went the full 12 rounds, as the paki had a jaw made of granite.

Yeah I do, it was the most entertaining fight of the night, the boys may of not put on the most scientific displays of boxing but jesus they showed some heart!

    You reckon Jamie looked sharp?

    hmm.. ok

I didnt get to see much of that fight in full.. i was doing a bit on the nite.

From what I saw of Jamie.. Im not sure about sharp but overall he looked pretty good. He seemed to get his fitness back pretty well. Heavys would be a bit of a challenge considering he fought far lower. He had some good little tricks too.. some nice angles & the triple jab all of that sort of stuff. JB is a pretty basic opponent, though I thought he held his own pretty well also.
gav was the right guy for Jamie to be with. Not for boxing training as he's only pretty green, but he has a top notch fitness gym for that side of things.

I had a look at our promoters today in Australia and most of them have fought before i think it would be hard for a boxer to respect a promoter that has never fought.

    Jeff Fenech 29-3-1
    Jamie Myer 18-6-1
    murray thomson 4-1-1
    noel Thornberry 8-3
    Roy Alexandra 20-22-1
    Tony Mundine 80-15-1
    Paul Nasari 11-7-3
    gonzo hooper 7-7-1
    Angelo Hyder -Amateur fights
    Angelo Decarlo -Amateur fights
just to name a few its good to see these guys still involved in the game.
