    The transformation:
The question was raised: How did the Manny Pacquiao who lost to Morales in 2005 and twice battle Marquez on even terms evolve into the dominating fighting machine he is now?

“Manny’s a different fighter now, a different guy,” Roach said. “If he fought Marquez right now, I guarantee you he’d f---ing knock him out in three rounds. I’m telling you, he’s a different guy now. I know that’s a bold statement but he’s a much better fighter than the guy who fought those guys.

“… Something clicked after Marquez (in March of last year). He’s a more-complete fighter. Everything we’ve worked on is coming into play.”

I love Roach but no one is KO ing Marquez in 3 he couldn't do it in their 2 fighst its not happeneing in the 3rd plus JMM is not defensivly flawed as Hatton..

Roach could be right, but he lost to Marquez two times.

no he didn't  1 win 1 draw.. Pac beat marquez 2 times really. Judges error cost the 1st fight to be a draw instead of a 1 point win for the pacman.

    Now. . . I'll say that's Hype.

It takes two to TANGO . . . and Marquez is just too smart to play into Manny's trap that early . . . especially now that they have already fought twice in the past. :deal

Marquez won the fights, but the judges gave Pac a gift. Most know that. I have seen so really bad decisions in my life, we have the best juges money can buy.

Roach is drinking that Pac koolaid. Even if Marquez is past it he wouldn't get knocked out that early. JMM is a true great and he's too smart to get knocked out that early. Marquez has been slipping for a few fights now and if anything Manny has improved so you never know.

JMM is slower at 140 than he was, Pac is a monster at 140. I believe Roach.

now, now coach freddie. it wasn't that long manny fought jmm. manny's transformation actually came alittle before that, so it ain't something jmm's not accustomed too. nice try tho

Roach has been almost right at his prediction the last 2 times. He said pac would beat delahoya and he did. Then he said pac would KO hatton in 3 which is wrong cuz pac KO hatton in 2:lol:

I dont know if pac will Ko marquez in 3 but i wont be surprise if pac do stop marquez if they fight again. Pac still has the speed and power and this time he doesn't have to kill himself making weight. He will be the stronger fighter next time for sure.

I think at 140 Manny surpasses JMM now. Its kind of like when Vegeta and Goku were toe to toe for most of their rivalry but then Goku went SSJ3 and the gap just widened to much.

    I think so, here's why:

    1. As crazy as roach sounds sometimes, he's almost always right.

    2. Pac's punch power went up with his weight, meaning he punches much harder now (with both hands!)

    3. Marquez is a slow starter

    4. All of the knockdowns in their 2 fights came within the 1st 3 rounds (probably due to #3)

I have a whole lot of respect for JMM and I think he really is much more skilled than Pac. But the Hatton KO is a clear sign that if Pac hits JMM cleanly (which he has shown that he can do), then JMM will be down for the count.
