I watched the interview last night and you could tell in his voice he was gutted. But maybe in a few weeks he will agree with everyone that he got his tatics wrong.
I'm a Ricky Hatton fan too and a long with a lot of other people who have posted here and are ricky hatton fans as well, i'm also am not too impressed with this interview but dispite the fact that I'm not impressed with the interview I'm not going to be too hard on the guy. He's in an amazingly insecure place right now. He just got sparked in two rounds. Knocked clean out infront of millions of people. And moments before that he 100% believed that there was no way this could happen to him. Add to that the amount of pressue that fighters like him are under in these kinds of fights and If he's not right the day afterwards or if he has a hard recovery I'll get over it.
Oh comon dude why the **** you such a jealous bitter *****? Thats not at all what he said. I can just feel the angst and contemp when you wrote that. Chill!
Spot on apart from pac fans and hatton haters who believed hatton would have been KOed in that manner.
How about the thousands of fans Ricky cheated ? How about the people who forked out 50 bucks to watch an execution ? We had a precedent with The corpse being battered by Many 6 months ago, and now this ? Last time Pac scored a 2 rd KO was in 2002.
Ricky Hatton is just ****ing delusional. He refuses to admit he was outclassed, he refuses to admit his attitude was appalling, and he continues to tell the same bull**** story to the fans. This fight would have been no different if it had have lasted. Pacquiao exposed Hatton's defensive liabilities once and for all, and knocked him the **** out at will. If Hatton can't recognise that, he needs to see a mental health professional.
lol...thanks for proving my point about the bitter ***** thing! Something tells me your not one of the thouseands that travelled to vagas and something tells me your not so broke that 50 bucks is gonna break you (hell you probably watched it on line like the rest of us anyways). I'd say you don't fall into any of those catagories so don't act like you speak for them. So again, I say chill.
Seriously though, it would make sense for him to fight one more time against Bradley or Witter in a going away fight, then hang 'em up. It'd make sense for both of those guys, too.
Well, tell me: do you think Hatton deserves criticism or praise for his performance ? If the former, should only those who travelled to Vegas/ paid 50 bucks be allowed to criticise him ? You seem to be the chilled one, so please enlighten us.
Your not critising his performance your criticizing his analysis of his performance one day afterwards...thats what I'm criticizing...and sorry to pick on you a bit here man. I know its not just you its the whole dam thread thats bagging on the guy. I don't have the time to fight every battle but in general, applied to all people who are ripping on this guy i have a problem with people wanting him to be fully honest when he's still processing what happened. Cause it either shows a lack of temperance/intelligence, or your not being fair to the guy cause you just don't like him.
You're damn right i'm criticizing his analysis; and if you read my previous posts, i was after him BEFORE THE FIGHT for telling everyone he was doing fine vs PBF for the first 6 rds and asking for a rematch. ( and bazooka weighed in, only to regret it later...). Because he has such an incredible following, Ricky forgot he took a beating and started believing his own hype. Look how it turned out. He probably wouldn't have won anyway, but this is boxing and one single punch can change a fight. I don't like it when fighters let money and ego come to their heads; who cares he's making millions and others not ?? Are you a better person because you're rich ? We have gone through the same **** with Hoya, and look how it turned out for him too. Ricky thinks he's paid to win; he's not. He's paid to compete to the best of his abilities, and he damn sure didn't. I was kind of neutral about Ricky; he always came to fight, but he was a bully at heart, using borderline illegal tactics vs Tszyu and being protected by his ref. Boxing ain't wrestling, and he got found out big time, the last one for good. I ain't even sure if all his matches were 100 % legit ( Warren...)
Cheated? The people who paid the $50 made their own choice. How the **** do you blame Hatton? Of course, we all wish the fight was more competitive but that's boxing. Wasn't Prescott's quick-time destruction of Khan PPV on UK tv?? Maybe those who forked out for that debacle should hunt him down and lynch him??atsch
