He can be boring sometimes, but on other nights he can be good to watch like against Pavlick and Trinidad.

    Couldn't disagree more.

I think his fights are pugilistic masterpieces - The Trinidad one moreso than the rest.

I'd rather watch Hopkins then Pacquiao anyday.

What Hopkins brings to the table in terms of his technical excellence is mouth watering to any true fight fan.

The Eastman fight was pretty boring. The Hakkar fight was a bit ugly with the Frenchie on his bike til he got caught.

But watching him against Trinidad, Tarver, Pavlik etc - I learned a LOT about boxing. He is an excellent stylist.

Pavlik Tarver & Trinidad are quality entertainment to watch a master at work of his later fights

Loads of his earlier fights are your more typical entertainment aggression and big punches

Overall - no. Although hes not past being boring to help him win.

true, bhop taught trinidad a good lesson but tito was coming up in weight. as much as thorough a beating it was, i don't give it that much credit since tito was naturally the smaller man.

technical excellence is vague term that people will use to justify a fighters ability. bhop is indeed ****ing boring at times and to deny it would be idiotic. despite the sd win by calzaghe, a rematch was never in the works because it will be a pretty boring fight anyway.

Ah yes the sweet science of hugging and holding

Look he is a very boring fighter when he faces great fighters like Calzaghe, Jones etc

But when he fights fighters with a very obvious weakness he knows how to exploit it and beat them easy as 1,2,3

Hopkins can be boring. But, to be fair, I do not think most people are familiar with his career. Hopkins is largely known for his superfights, but his best work is probably in lesser known matches.

My personal feeling is that his best fight was against Glen Johnson. Whatever the reason, Hopkins was on fire that night and just beat the crap out of Johnson, who was undefeated at the time. Johnson was definitely sharp, but Hopkins just had an answer for everything he could dish out. I recommend watching it if you have not.
