His style works, can be boring and dirty yes,but it's got him this far....

Great at what he does____________ depends who he's fighting

    No **** Sherlock.
But if you really watch the skills, the sneakyness, the ring inteligence, the illegal unseen blows and all his game you can see the true art of the master.

He's only boring if you don't like technical masterpieces. I like his fights because you'll know within the first couple of rounds if it's already over. It's great watching the way he takes apart people. I love a great slugfest but watching masters like BHop is great too.

It's actually a full compliment.I wasn't sarcastic at all,Bernard has an incredible skill of fouling you without being seen by the ref.
Guy is a ring rocket scientist.

I suppose it might depend on whether you are a fight fan or a boxing fan.

I think he learnt that from his strong arm robbery days!

:yep Dirty tactics to be sure. However I have never really been "disappointed" with a Hopkins fight. It was weird seeing him get so far off his game plan against Calzaghe though.

While Bernard's fights are far from boring, he is IMO less exciting to watch than Pac.

People who find Winky and Bernard and even Wlad boring, are probably missing the finer points on demonstration.

Floyd is often accused of being boring.

The object of the game is to win, and that's what good boxers do.

There were a few uneventful fights but as quite some posters here said ... the guy is a master boxer and a true student of the sweet science.

I hate sounding like a elitist saying you must be a casual fan to not enjoy Hopkins... but sjeez.
The man is a modern marvel ... and a walking textbook on what boxing is about.
And to do it at his age is nothing short of miraculous.

I agree with you. he is extremely boring! One of the most boring of all time. But he is a great fighter.

however, I would rather watch almost anyone else fight, I mean the whole point of boxing is being entertained right? Why bother watching a fighter you find boring?

Every fighter has some dull fights. Bhop don't go outta his way to wow the crowd, but not all his fights have bored me.
