Did Margarito kick Cotto's ass fair and square???

nope. Trinidad wasnt found guilty of anything nor was he suspended or had to face any boxing commisions. Hopkins's trainer just didnt like the way his wraps were getting wrapped. He thought there was an advantage. Trinidad said thats how he always wraps them to protect his hands and never before, in any of his fights was found to be a problem. Margacheato did it with the intent to cause harm, and it worked.

 

Read the first part of your post and then read the second, do you see the huge contradiction.

I didnt see any contradictions in it. We are talking about going from handwraping to putting a foreing sustance in your hand to inflict damage.
Boxing is a global sports. Things are probably done diferent (as far as hand wrapping goes) in diferent parts of the world, trainers probably use diferent techniques. Acording to Trinidad Sr. thats the way he is being wrapping his son's hands and never had a problem or no complains from others trainers. That fight he found out he was wrong. Maybe it was intentional or maybe ignorance. A debate can be made on this topic. But what Margarito did, it was intentional, there is no question that he really wanted the advantage, and wanted to cause harm. Margo is up there with Resto. Thank God he got caught.

 

I personally don't believe he did but that's irrelevant - His entire career has a shadow hanging over it now weather he did or not.

What he definatley didn't wrap was his chin. Cotto had no problem touching it, he just couldn't dent it.

 

How can anyone sit there use objective reasoning and not come up with doubt is beyond me. Cotto for some reason has a fair amount of haters on this site and I dont really know why. There are some doubts as to the legitamacy of that victory and many victories Margo has had. Margarito brought this on himself.
