Arum is trying to get this fight together on Aug.22 at San Francisco for Lopez's WBO superflyweight belt.

Also Viloria will be likely to be on the undercard too.

I think Donaire will retire Lopez on his stool before the 8th.

    Thoughts?

8 year winning streak, never been stopped, decent skills and power, goes to the body, loads of experience, this should be another good test for Nonito, but i dont think he'll be able to handle his speed, his age will show as the rounds go on, and Nonito will stop him...

Nonito inside 7 is what i'm changing it too, cant wait for this 1

Carita Lopez is good, but Nonito is on a diferent level bro.

Nonito is not yet in his prime but hes undeniably talented. I might get flak in this thread but i believe that Donaire will make a statement against Lopez. Hes like the thinner version of Pac with a solid skillset.

Carita will get brutally beaten imo

i dont think any1's gonna disagree with you, i think Nonito is also on a different level, but he just seems like a solid enough guy to make it into the mid rounds, or atleast the 5th b4 Nonito puts him away

but yeah, Donaires last performance completely sealed the deal that he's a top 10 P4P fighter, also does anybody know that this fight will be a headline? cuzz i want it to be on an undercard of a big fight, so that he will get some more dam exposure, Arum should throw him on the same card as a Cotto, Pac, Pavlik, Juanma or even Chavez Jr., so more people can see the guy, nobodies gonna buy his PPV's when they dont even know who he is, Donaire's the best kept secret in the game, Arum should take advantage of it

Good fight for Donaire, but is there anyone left at Super Fly. other then Lopez worth fighting after this provided he wins obviously? I have a feeling that this is a another step towards a big fight with either Montiel or a rematch with Vic (hopefully) for the end of the year.

if Vic vacates his titles, he might wanna pick 'em up and be undisputed champ, but i doubt it....so he'll prolly move to BW and try and get some more meaningful fights

It will be interesting to see if Vic will vacate the titles before the fight with Agbeko, he might want to keep them just in case. The only fight I see for Donaire that fits what Bob wants to do with him and is a big name is Hugo Cazares. There aren't many viable top opponents left at Super Fly. they have either moved up to Bantamweight or gone into semi-retirement.

I hope that he at least defendes the title once or twice and becomes the lineal champ before moving up. I have a feeling he might be rushed along to Bantam because of the lack of options at Super Fly and with all potential fights that are available to him at Bantamweight I see Bob moving him up to Bantamweight for a fight with Montiel.

i agree, Vic's a pretty cocky guy though so i suspect he doesn't even consider him losing an option, and would probably vacate them, but yeah keeping them in case would be the smart thing to do

and yeah, Cazares would be a pretty good fight, as far as fighting a "name" goes, and a station like Showtime would probably want to pick this up, so i think it would be a pretty good deal

and uhhh...would Montiel even get in the ring with him at this point? i really haven't heard him take any interest in Nonito sinced he moved up to BW, i maybe wrong but, still.....but then again, if the moneys right i'm sure he'd take the fight, and this IMO is probabbly the biggest fight for Nonito right now (assuming Montiel wins his next match), well outside a rematch with Vic (which i dont see happening)

also, you say you want him to become lineal champ but Vic's occupying that positiong, so that will be impossible since Vic's not gonna fight Nonito (or atleast it seems that way), so we just have to hop he vacates the division so that Nonito can take on some of the top guys and start his own lineage as champ, it wont be any big fights but, it will build his legacy and help with his P4P rankings, which will in the long run give him levrage for a big fight i beleive

but as for Superfly opponents, i'd like to see him in with any of this guys: Munoz, Gorres, Arce, Cazares, or even Mijares

so yeah, i'd say fight 1 or 2 of those guys then move up to BW

I think I would be a UD or late stoppage but with the ref retiring Carita by taking punisment and not going down or hurt Carita is old and maybe only have a puncher chance, but one think i know Carita have a tough chin, they need to hit them very hard to go down. But the problem is if Caritas age will be the factor in the fight.
