I'm from the UK and looking to get tickets for this fight. There are tickets available on www.ticketnetwork.com www.ticketfor.com and www.justbuytickets.com Can anybody vouch for these as reputable companies or suggest elsewhere or if tickets have even been made available yet?
Contact the host hotel, which may be the MGM Grand, and ask them who the official ticket sellers will be. Call them at 877-880-0880 and ask them. That will take all the guess work out of it.
Those ticket touts/scalpers you mention are selling tickets they don't own yet. They will get the tickets eventually, because they have call centers in India bombarding the ticket line as soon as they go on sale, but they don't have them yet. Have you ever wondered how tickets sell out in 30 minutes, and nearly all of them to touts/scalpers? I read a very interesting article on how it all works. The companies set up operations in India/Pakistan where they pay them peanuts to call up and buy them the second they go on sale. They also have rooms of people dedicated to typing those verification codes into the Ticket Master website. It's quite a set up, and it pretty much guarantees proper boxing fans don't get to buy the tickets. Sad really. They do it for all sports/festivals/gigs/events etc. It's a lucrative business and there's pretty much **** all we can do about it. Shame.
So anyway, you can go ahead and buy the tickets; they are legit. They just won't posess them until they go on sale. You probably won't get the exact seats though. You probably won't anyway; I've bought from the big websites before, and they're never exact.
Right that's great help thanks, think I'll stay away from those touts until they officially go on sale. I'm ringing the mgm.
