it was muhammad ali who made me intressted in the sport. Then he started to watch Duran, Ray Robinson, Ray Leonard, Hagler
John Conteh... Monzon-Buchanan-Frazier--Tyson ( before he self destructed)-McGuigan -Duran--Hagler-Jones Jnr- Calzaghe and Manny
I think the first fight I ever saw on TV was Ali and Spinks - but I was very small then and didn't get excited over it, but I remember I was annoyed that there was ducking involved, and people making noises as they punched. Later stuff I'm sure I saw were the Hagler/Hearns/Duran/Leonard fights. Then Jim Watt because I lived in Scotland, then McGuigan. But I think that it was the Benn/Eubank/Watson/Collins era that cemented my interest because I appreciated more then. Of course, there was Bruno/ Tyson etc since.
As a kid Chris Eubank, Prince Naz and Lennox Lewis were the ones that I got into when my da' watched them. My renewed interest came from seeing some classic fights on a DVD i bought on an off chance.
for me it was roberto durran in beating carlos palomino and the next year beating sugar ray leonard, by then i was hooked
