The only common denominator I see is that Germany and Canada are not richly blessed with boxing talent at the moment. Maybe they are forced to take these guys on to get a piece of world class action in their backyards.

USA adopt all fighters - Mexicans, Ricans,Irish and who ever else
Russian are like the germans and just take Eastern Europe ones but to a lesser extent
Australia take a lot of Africans in and get a good following then theres Zoo
Japan take a lot of south Americans and lighter weight fighters
Canada like someone says have the romanians


In the UK they take a few fighters in but they never make the top of the bill.

Hope the Cubans are the start of something that should of happened years ago.

They should go the same way the Cubans develop a base for them (Cork). Have them fight on a few big cards but still keep it close to a place they fight from so they develop a following then start to expand. It's easier in Ireland because its a small place and it basically takes you half a day or so to get to the main places
