two of the greats in our era resume goes to oscar. talent goes to floyd mainstream appeal goes to oscar. dominance goes to floyd but who has the bigger heart?
If you took the last three rounds of the Trinidad fight out of ODLH's career, this thread would look stupid as ****.
Floyd has never really had to show his heart that much. Whereas Oscar has pulled out some late round magic a few times - Quartey, Vargas, even Mosley where he lost he was going down swinging.
BOTH of these guys have heart. You don't get in the ring without it, in fact you don't get in the ring and SPAR without it. ****ing armchair warriors disrespecting professional boxers, it's really.... irritating.
Resume to resume, it really looks like Oscar has had to overcome much more adversity than Floyd has which is a great indicator of heart. But Floyd really does have bad hands and who knows how many times he's had to suck it up and get the job done inside the ring regardless. Still, looks to be Oscar.
How do you know the people you're referring to haven't been in the ring themselves? And by saying someone has a bigger heart, it's not disrespect.
DLH has been accused of running for 3 rounds FLoyd has been plagued with those accusations throughout of his career:deal
Have seen it many, many times. He certainly showed heart, but not in the way you reflect and say "wow what a display of heart" like you do for Oscar-Vargas, or that 12th round of Oscar-Quartey.
The weight drained and depleted bobblehead formerly known as Oscar De La Hoya was physically the smaller man in that fight. IMO Oscar has shown more heart thus far at least.
