Lets not forget that in the fight with Margarito, Cotto was must likely fighting a guy who was cheating. Not to mention that Mayweather uses a completely different style than Margarito. When your getting hit with concrete, it's hard to concentrate on a game plan. I also like to take note of Miguel's track record against boxers. Malignaggi who was a quick fighter on his feet and hands, Quintana who was a tactical boxer, Judah who is a very fast (especially in the first 5 rounds of a fight) and a very gd puncher, and Mosley who is a very skilled, tactical, quick and hard puncher. I say if Miguel can get them out of their game, he has a very gd chance to beat Mayweather. People need to realize Cotto uses his intelligence more than his power. His timing helps him a great deal with fast fighters. His power is just there. He doesn't force it. Not to mention he is quick when he needs it.

I don't think gayweather can hurt cotto, and cotto, although not my favorite, is an excellent boxer with power. I think he delivers a severe beatdown to pbf....10th rd ko, not tko.

i think Floyd might win by UD, but i don't see how he can stop Cotto.

Floyd is a very defense oriented fighter nowadays, Margarito stopped Cotto not only by hitting him with alot of punches but also staying on top of him for every second of every round which exausted Cotto.
Floyd won't push Cotto like that, and no Floyd doesn't have the power to knock him out.

I think it's a closer fight than most people think, but I'll give the edge to Floyd.

a stoppage is very likely simply because it takes one punch to hurt you and Floyd closes very good when a fighter is hurt so i wouldnt doubt a late stoppage for floyd.

you cannot deny the fact that cotto is still a savage puncher who is accurate and patient.

A knockout for Floyd. I doubt it. Cotto doesn't make sloppy mistakes like Hatton. I have never seen Cotto lunge with a wild hook to knock the other guy out. If Floyd wins, it will be by boring decision.

Cotto will get his ass *****-slapped (again), this time by a man much quicker and much more talented than his overprotected, overrated ass can ever dream of being.

    PBF TKO 8.

Floyd would land almost at will with the right hand after the 6th round.
