    Buddy McGirt.
If Hatton wants to prove that he's a great fighter, he needs to win with Buddy McGirt in his corner. It's never (okay... rarely) been done. Only a truly great fighter can overcome those odds.

His best chances of reviving his career would be to go back to Billy Graham but maybe Hatton's pride won't allow him to do that as he fired Graham for not being good enough and slowing down or some **** . Pretty much blamed Graham for the Floyd loss.

Alternative is stick with Floyd snr and sack Lee Beard. There's too many cooks in the kitchen. He can't get a new trainer again it would be stupid to keep changing and changing and it will mean starting all over again building a new relationship.

If Hatton does carry on fighting he has got a long road ahead of him to get another chance at fighting Floyd jnr or Pac. They both will probably be retired by then. Pac said he's gonna retire at the end of the year or next year. Floyd jr has already retired once and who the hell know's when he's gonna retire again.

Maybe hatton will rule again with them two gone, lol you never know.

Floyd sr is good, he needed more than 2 camps with floyd to change, he should have fought a few b+ level fighters with floyd sr before stepping up to pac, but for now he should go for Roach, Ronnie Shields or one of the UK coaches such as jim Mcdonell (sp?)

Honestly STAY with Floyd Sr and kick lee beard out of the team. And LISTEN to what Floyd tells him to do!

i think thats the key point. it doesnt matter who is in his corner or what skills he learns in a training camp. his mindset is such that when things dont go to plan he reverts to type rather than sticking to the plan or listening to his corner.

Strictly speaking he didn't actually revert to type as he came out that way from the start!

I suspect he'll stick with Lee Beard as his main trainer as he seems to have already followed his advice over Floyds. Or lack of. Beard will just let Ricky keep doing the same thing that he's going to do anyway. I remember Hatton was supposed to have a few new tricks for the Floyd Jr fight and didn't show them, cue a change of trainer and very different camp and he's still unchanged. The best thing for Hatton is to stick to what he knows and Beard will do that because he doesn't know nay better himself.

Plus Beard won't rock the boat: he won't be on Hatton's back about his lifestyle and his comments about Pacs 'barely more than a wild swing' KO show he's not going to correct Ricky own delusions about how the fight went.

Wake up. Hatton cannot fight effectively at 140- no punch resistance, the body cannot take the strain of reaching 140 anymore. Am I the only one who found his gaunt appearance at weigh in disturbing?

**** floyd snr, all he was there to do was pick up his million dollar pay check after 12 weeks. Doin orthodox pads when preparing to face a southpaw, thats pretty stupid!
Hatton should stick with Lee Beard and have Billy Graham as a consultant, not getting involved in the physical stuff coz hes ****ed, leave that to Beard.

He looked better for the Pac fight than he did for Malinaggi, he looked ill on the scales that night but i agree, the yo-yo in weight has finally ****ed him - ie. no punch resistance. However that left hook pac threw would have sparked Ricky any time in his career. You can see the blueprint for a southpaw to beat Hatton by watching the Mcgee fight. Right hook over the top, hatton is totally defenceless coz he has his left pretty low. He needs to dig up Cus D'Mato and learn the peek-a-boo.

What is obvious here is that Hatton has few realistic options for a trainer. In addition, he has no realistically achievable goals left as boxer. I hate to go back to this but, RETIRE RICKY!

Thank you. I was waiting to see if someone would make this statement. The man is one dimensional and can't change. He can have Angelo Dundee in his corner, as long as he's doing the fighting he will be the same ole Hatton. I really wonder why people say they say a different Hatton in the Paulie fight. He did nothing different but win. Half the time Paulie wouldn't even punch at the man. Hatton still was swollen after the 1st round of that fight. He should hang it up or destroy the little legacy he does have.
