yeah that's great stuff. picks forrest off for fun. :bbb shame he never fought mayweather. he was so used to schooling those counter punching yanks in his amateur days. would have been fascinating to see how mayweather would have dealt with him. :yep
great boxer, strong, slick and has a ton of boxing ability. Tszyu has to rank as one of the best 140 lb fighters ever. He lost to Hatton but he set the blue print on how to beat Hatton. Just didn't have it in him towards the end but thats how all the greats go out later on in their careers. Nothing but respect !!
I think I agree with you. He looked better in his first five fights than he did in his last five. It really does look like he debuted in his prime, a totally finished product. He should have went pro a few years earlier.
I don't know if you guys know about Phillips but he's strong as hell ... he's not like a Hatton who while Tszyu was fighting him just ran out of gas and didn't want to fight anymore - Phillips had power and was relentless ... A strong fighter welterweight who was able to fight at welter !!
The thing with Tsyu he is the only big name on his resume as a pro. I agree he made a name for himself as an amateur same as Breland and others but he was memorable great champ but he could definitely be beaten in his prime and he did not rack up the scalps needed to get the acclaim given to him by you guys.
Right Vince Phillips was a very good fighter whose problem wasn't in the ring as much as it was issues outside of it.
A lot of people don't know the **** that was goin on during training in the lead up to the phillips fight, his promoter had just sued him for 10 million bucks and he was spending more time with lawyers etc than actually training, he had to live on a glass of water and a biscuit a day in the last week just to make the weight for that fight.
2009 pac would beat 2001 KT, he slowed down a lot and his reflexes was not the same as his fights with gonzales and ruelas fight...that tackie fight was a clear testament to that
I doubt it, Pac aint a mauler or full on pressure fighter, it takes rounds of non stop punching with Phillips that stopped the fight, Pac would have to wear the same amount of punches back from KT and its a fact there is no way pacs chin would hold up to it like KTs does, im a pac fan as well but he aint a defensive master, and KT would connect on him and put him on the canvas.
And because all that actually SAW the first Mitchell match know that he was well on his way to an all but certain loss barring the knee injury . . . still it was no reason for Sharmba to cry like a punk ***** in the ring. Now this is not to say that he doesn't murder Hatton in his prime and/or most other jr welters. It's just to give things a lil' perspective. And for the record, Hatton was nowhere in his league. P.S. Yes, I know Mitchell got scraped the 2nd time around so, please, don't give me that crap. Mitchell must have been in the zone during the 1st fight.
