Man, you dudes are crazy if you weren't impressed with Ward last night. He fought the fight he had to in order to win. I reduced Miranda into a fighter trying to throw just one shot. He through combinations with conviction, and fought in the pocket a whole lot. He faced adversity and didn't blink...he was butted at the beginning of the fight, and cut. He was blatantly butted again and fought throug it well. Then, he went in and bullied the **** out of Miranda...he showed damn near every style of boxing a fighter can show. Then you folk ***** about him not ko'ing Miranda. It's crazy how now if you don't ko a fighter you suck. Kelly took shots that he didn't have to take to get the ko...and besides that, they fight different styles. This was his first step up in major competition and he passed with all A's imo. With that said, I still expect to see him to be much better next fight...oh, and he took a few of Miranda's rights and shook em off easy. Stop being ignorant fans looking for a ko in every fight and then calling people weak if they don't ko their opponents. Now days if a fighter don't ko Miranda he's a bum...**** that.
I was impressed by Ward. Miranda was a big step up for him and he showed great focus and composure. I didn't like the holding too much but he's very young in the pro game. He'll keep growing.
Andre Ward is the goods, baby! Gold medalist and future world champion no doubt. Next stop - Carl Froch and WBC belt.
Ward did what he had to do last night and won the fight,i give him props for that, but he's not the complete article,he fights like an amateur and was unable to finish a middleweight.I liked some of what i saw,but some people are getting carried away and proclaiming Ward the next king of the SMW's,get a grip FFS he beat a one dimensional 160lb brawler.atsch
