I'm taking nothing from Hops--again, like I said earlier in the thread, one of my favorite fighters--but there are a lot of great victories out there and Hops is lucky to edge a top 40 w/ his win over Tito.
Is this the greatest victory from the fans perspective or the fighter? Because if its from a fighters POV, Douglas takes the cake. They freaking had no odds for this fight in Vegas FFS. Also Tyson was indestructible at this time. This ended and ERA in HW boxing and frankly, with this defeat the HW division has not recovered up to now.
Duran over Leonard is huge. There are no factors are play whatsoever here, other than a GREAT beating another great at his peak. Douglas over Tyson is big, but you could argue Tyson wasn't at his best (despite being in his prime).
Please. Your topic is like a rerun of a funny episode of the simpsons from the 90's. My topic is like the avalanche that was the Obama campaign. No comparison.
Whenever someone says some comment like 'game/set/match' trying to say they owned, its pretty much an admission of inferiority. I forgot to say that this rerun of the simpsons has been replayed 100000x's and that the avalanche for change was something remarkable in our lifetimes.............................. :hey :good
Cause there's always a few years' lag between how good a fighter was and how long it takes for people to recognize it.
