Great punchers who relied more on technique than power

    I dont think he rates over Joe Louis and Archie Moore, but its debatable. :good

    I think most good punchers use great technique to generate power.

    My pick is Arguello personally.

    Would you believe me if I told you I picked Arguello BEFORE I read the other posts ?
    :D

    I actually did, was still suprised so many others did tho.
    Only thing Alexis lacked was speed but the accuracy cancelled that **** right out.

    To be quite honest with you, most punchers that I recall had/have rather good technique. I mean some were technically better than others, but it is still hard for me to say what was the more determining factor.

    Ricardo Mayorga might be the person I could say at the opposite end of the spectrum. George Foreman could use a mention there as well.

    Ricardo Lopez is another guy not yet mentioned. And he had picture perfect uppercuts with both hands/right hand/left hook.
