With all this talk about Pac vs. PBF and what the split should be... I think all fights should be 60/40 with the winner getting the larger cut. If a draw were to occur then it's 50/50 split. We as fans should not get cheated of great fights just because the fighters cant agree on the money....
I agree although it'll never happen. I'd love to see boxing incorporate bonuses into their purse schematics.
until this sport develops stricter oversight, i think it's a bad idea. There's too much corruption as is. And if the winning fighter is guaranteed a larger slice of the pie, then there will be promoters and others in those judges ears, that's for sure.
I like the freedom they have. UFC dudes are forced to fight Monsters before there ready or find a day job. They wanted to put cotto in there with floyd after the chop chop fight floyd spanks this version easily and his present becomes diffrent. stop being selfish its these guys lives let them choose there own future. Its the only sport thats almost like owning your own business. And your the Boss. The promoter can become the government tho which is bad
you mean, if pbf or pacman fight a "no body" it should be 60/40 (instead of 75/25 or 70/30 guaranteed prize) with the winner getting the larger cut.
:happy Finally, a man that shares the same views as the Butcher. Id even agree on a 70/30 split, winner getting the lions.... why not ? It would cut out the cowards that use $£ as an excuse to back out of fights AND it would mean that both fighters would be less likely to show up for a pay day. Excellent.... tho watch this, I havent read the other posts but I bet there are some **** heads that dont want this genius solution... whatever their reasons.
If they are as good as they are supposed to be, they will leave with the 70%, if not then tough ****, get your ass back in the gym & start training.
It's a beautiful thought, but I think this would likely create corruption that we certainly don't need. The sports always been more crooked than a dogs hind leg and this would likely make things worse.
I 100% agree, to the victor go the spoils. I remember when boxing used to be about trying to be the best, now it's about let's which fighter can get me the biggest pay day
I'd say 65/35 but I agree with your point. If common sense prevailed then the winner would always get the bigger split. Think how much easier it would be for fights to get made. Too much politics and no one brave enough to make it happen. The guys at the top who have the power already make the most moeny so why would they change it. Such a shame. Boxing still has its head in the sand.
