That's a big assumption. But how do you see this playing out?

Arreola's camp has hired Darrel Hudson who seems to be a top-notch strength and conditioning coach. It won't matter though. Vitali by stoppage somewhere around the 6th-7th round. It's a stupid matchup at this point of Cristobal's career. Wilfred Sauerland had the chance to push for the IBF to mandate a Povetkin-Wlad fight but he decided Povetkin wasn't ready yet. I highly doubted Goossen would ever do the same with Arreola and in fact here we are ,according to Steve Kim negotiations have begun between Goossen and Boente for a Vitali-Arreola bout.

Vitali by mid stoppage. I like Chris but the toughest thing for him to overcome is reach. Vitali has a great chin too.

people whine and complain about the boring fights in the Heavyweight Division this has the *potential* to be a very exciting fight. I think Vitali would win in a slugfest. Either way the true winners are the fans if this fight happens.

    Slugfest:rofl:rofl

This plays out the same way Vitali vs. *anyone* on the scene plays out right now.

Vitali methodically and skillfully takes them apart till they fall over or quit.

I read in the Boxing news mag today that Arreola has hired a top conditioning coach.... not a bad considering the importance of his next fight. I'd love Chris if he only lost about 30lb!!!

Vitali likes to slug it out, i think thoe chis has a crap chin, so when vitali starts landing his big league punches by the third, the fight will end very shortly, but vitali likes to feel his enemys power as he did in the sanders fight, he is sadistic like that,,,,no longer then the 5th

there is nothing wrong with Arreola's Chin. If you think Arreola has Chin issues what in the hell do you think about a guy like Haye who could not even take punches from blown up Super Middleweights and Cruiserweights?

Arreola has been down once and was completely fine.

Arreola is not going to just stand there and get hit he will at least attempt to rough Vitali up I am not saying he could or will do it but he will at least try unlike a lot of other fighters who took a beating.

Disagree,,,,Watch the fight, the guy he was fighting lost his mouth piece soon after chris got up from the KD, giving chris more time to recover, before that he was very shaken, an the guy they picked, was there to lose......the punch that put him down, would be about average of what vitali would put on him when he loads up just a little,,,,,,Not saying he has got hayes china chin, an i just watched hayes fight again with barrett, i mean i didn't count but i got to say almost every time barrett landed a punch to pizza faces chin, hayes would stop dead in his tracks....Of course arreola has got a better chin then that, :hi:

Give Arreola a few more fights against the best the division has to offer. Get him in shape. Let Vitali age another year or two.

Then there might be a chance.

I really would be rooting for the native Californian but at this point I see Chris getting gassed midway and the rest of the fight going very long and boring, but I think he can still withstand Vitali's pawing assault through selective counter punching while retreating unlike Peter did. Vit UD 12.
