Judah has always lacked a certain something. All the talent in the world as a boxer, but a mediocre fighter. Always has been, always will be. Definitely not the type to get better with age either. He has no hope of taking a title in the welterweight division. On a recent loss or not, with his skill set, not KO'ing a FNF bum is an embarassment. Name me one other major player in the welterweight division who wouldn't have put this guy away. Cotto, Cintron, Mayweather, Margarito and Paul Williams all would have AT LEAST scored a TKO. Welcome to gatekeeper status Zab.
No What you think Cotto was the first to get to Judah and his head. Tszyu ruined Judah mentally before Cotto was even fighting anyone decent. 2002 the Tszyu fight was and yeah Judah won against Spinks but after that night he was never the same Zab. Tszyu Spinks Baldomir PBF got the better of him before Cotto even entered the Ring. It was never or will it be never that Cotto was the man that ruined Judah. He was damaged for good after the loses before Cotto was even mentioned.
Zab looked good, but I still dont like him giving away rounds and resting. Scored 97-93 for zab. I like fighters who give all 100% in the ring.
There was always a decent chance Judah would failed to get the KO. Vasquez not totally awful, a part-time fighter like people have said. But he would have been super-motived for this one though. Judah de-motivated. He should have KO'd him, but it isn't the end of the world. Judah isn't as talented as some of you think anyway, he is just bad at pacing himself, which made him look good against Floyd for a few rounds.
I think zab need fights like this, going the distance and getting the work in which is what he should have done before he fought Cotto. last night fight gave Zab time to work on some much needed skill that have been way over due, focus, body attack and of course stamina .. to me there was no need of trying to blow out a guy who only chance of beating you is if he brings a 38.cal get the work and get back into contention , Zab knows now that the welter weight devision is too loaded for him half stepping at any part of his game . I still think zab can beat any one on any given night if his mind is right.
Like I said earlier, Zab actually needed this type of fight ,, to often we seen him become unmotivated if he fails to get the KO early , he need to learn to stay focus trough out the fight and learn to stick with his game plan, which what he will need if he ever find him self in the ring again against any of the top 6 welters or for that matter top 10.
whats wrong with you guys? Zab looked good in this fight, Vazquez just showed a great chin b/c Zab hit him with some wicked shots. Zab boxed, he brawled in a couple rounds, got the work he needed b/c a first round kayo was not going to help him get to where he needs to be
Exactly. Let him build back up and see what he does, whether you hate or like him, with Judah, it's always entertaining... Clottey looked worse against his last tomato can.
