Margarito was caught and suspended, Mosley wasn't.

It's simply a matter of the commission catching Margarito, and not catching Mosley.

The commissions punish guys that **** dirty after the fight. Toney, Vargas, Batchedler, etc....Mosley wasn't even caught by the commission, and four years later is when Mosley claims he "accidentally injected himself with illegal drugs". If Mosley had pissed dirty, he'd have been punished. But he went to a place that specialized in making undetectable performance enhancing drugs.

The double-standard isn't from the commission, it comes from fans who give Mosley a pass because he just smiles and is nice and claims he didn't know and says he passed a lie detector test.

People just don't want to believe that one of the "good guys" in boxing committed one of the worst sins in the sport. Which is bull**** really. Hey, people tell me that Luis Resto is nice too.

Well, both of them will have question marks with a dark shadow over their career. Neither fighter admitted or apologised up to the point they got caught, in very different situations of course.

I'm absolutely SHOCKED that the Nevada State Athletic Commission or the Assosiation of Boxing Commissions haven't changed Mosley's win to a DQ loss yet, I mean it's a very serious issue. Whereas Margarito was caught trying to use illegal tactics and it hasn't been proved he actually had a fight before with illegal handwraps (therefore we can only guess based on Cotto's and Lujan's face), Mosley actually injected the EPO for himself and stepped into the ring with the illegal substance. Believe me: steroids can be just as harmful, if not more, giving you more power, better stamina etc.

Both careers will have to answer these questions, but IMO Mosley has the more serious issue as Tony stepped into the ring vs. Shane absolutely clean, while Mosley fought Oscar juiced up, and it's pretty damn insane that Tony and the trainer were suspended (good thing) for attempting something, and Mosley can fight on and still has the victory despite he actually committing the 'crime'.

We got a lot of big names with roids in their past. Mosley, Toney, RJJ, Vitali...

Too much money for them to be punished. Just another face of boxing's corruption.

I wonder what fans your talking about, and if the substance is undetectable all the more reason for punishment because it shows the intent to deceive.

People defend Mosley quite a bit despite him being a cheat. There have been numerous times here when people talk about how Mosley is such a class act and great representation of the sport. I'm like "the guy is a cheat". What's a worse sin against the sport, being a loud-mouth idiot, or being a nice guy who TAKES EPO/THE CLEAR/THE CREAM before the biggest fight of the year?"

So often, after pointing out that he took illegal PEDS, I got **** like "oh he's a class act and good guy, I think he genuinely didn't know"..."He said he passed a lie detector test".

Or they simply let it pass. Can you imagine the backlash if someone like a Mayweather or De La Hoya claimed they "accidentally" injected illegal drugs in their stomach?

    True. Good point.

But the main thing is that Margarito didn't get to cheat unlike Mosley who DID and admit it.

Antonio "Manos De Plaster" Margarito is a known cheater who, I believe, had intent to kill his opponents in the ring. He should be permanently banned from the sport of boxing, the world over.

Margarito was CAUGHT trying to cheat and got his ass SUSPENDED. Mosley wasn't caught nor was he ever suspended for cheating like Toney and others were.

Margarito was caught "BEFORE" trying to cheat. Mosley was caught with steroids in his sytem, meaning he "DID" cheat. Unfortunately, Margaritos wins are going to be in question.
In my opinion, because Mosley "was" caught with enhacements in his system, he would be the bigger cheat.
