Nope. Barrera was technically a bit more sharp than Morales and had better fundamentals. Morales does not have those same qualities. Hamed may have been a clown but he was a clown that power punched his way to 31 knockouts. Morales IMO would have got beat by Nas

I think Erik wins most of the time, but his tendency to brawl could get him KO'd against a guy who hits like Naz.

Morales was too tough for his own good and Hamed would have exploited Morales' machismo.

Hate to say it but IMO Hamed KOs El Terrible!

i go back and forth on this, but the more i think about it the more i think erik takes this one.

naz did land a couple of good flush shots on barrera and he didn't so much as buckle. erik had a much better chin than barrera.

plus, barrera could've probably put a worse beating on hamed but he stopped whenever he had him stunned. (wisely, he did have a lot of respect for naz's power). i think erik could've boxed but would've followed up more aggressively if he had naz stunned.

plus, i think naz's speed and reflexes gets a tad overrated by his fans. he looked fast as hell against the fast as a turtle steve robinson and pre-robinson, but he got tagged a lot more post robinson.

If Morales went toe to toe like he did in the 1st Barrera fight (which I dont think he would have) then we would get one of the most exciting fights ever & a close one at that, Id still expect a Morales win due to variety of punces & his much sturdier chin.

If Morales boxed from the outside, forget about it, 9-3 at least for Morales, not too unlike Barrera-Hamed.

You`d be a fool to bet a lot of money on Naz vs Erik IMHO.

You do realise that Morales was past his prime & would have beat the **** out of Raheem regardless of styles or weight right ?

Also, Naz was in his prime in those Kelly fights, he dont have the fundamentals to beat Morales & he wont break Morales will with power either.

Hamed is criminally underrated, it's a 50-50 fight and I can easily see each of them winning 5 times out of 10.

Everybody bases his/her opinion on Naz' clear but still close UD loss to an A+ ATG, whose career-defining fight is this very victory. Yes, Hamed lost to Barrera, but it's like judging Hopkins on the Jones fight, Williams on the Quintana fight, PacMan on his early losses, Juan Manuel Marquez on the John fight, Mosley on the Forrest fight etc. The thing is, Naseem never made a memorable comeback, which is true, but that doesn't change his chances in a prime vs. prime discuassion. He retired right after his tune-up/comeback fight, but in reality, he had plenty of years left. But the world has changed somewhat. His reputation as a cocky but funny guy from 1001 Nights was erased with 9/11. His religion became assosiated with horrible things. Adidas broke his sponsorship, and it's really hard to believe he would've had any kind of support to come back. There's a difference between 'hating' Toney, Darchinyan and Floyd for their comments and cocky behaviour, and really hating and wishing him bad because of his origins and religion, which was the case with Hamed.

Then again: he walked away early, but that doesn't mean he's as bad as his sole loss suggests. That's insane thinking.

I'd say Morales would pull out a decision, and a fairly close one at that. But he would have a hard time of it imo. He liked to bang to much when he would have been much better boxing his way to decisions or stoppages. As a result I think he would get hurt a few times by Naz as he stands toe to toe. His skills would pull him through in the end though.

MAB beat Naz by using distance boxing & counter punching, Morales was a better outside boxer than Barrera aswell as a better counterpuncher.

Morales DID like to go toe to toe but he would respect Naz`s power & put on a clinic.... he would only go for it if he felt Hamed weakening just as Marco did in the last 2 rds.... MAB attacked Naz in the last 2 rds after frustrating him by boxing him the 1st 10 rds & Naz was too flustered to get any big shots off.... same deal with Morales, a box-down then a beat-down to close the show.

Morales. Straighter punches and a lot of power himself at the weight. Hamed had awkward balance which would make some of the shots look even worse than they were for the judges.
