no probs , also just read in another irish boxing forum that joe ward beat his russian opponent in the last 8 of the world juniors , he stopped the russian in the 2nd , what a win as i think the russians have won nearly all there bouts bar one , irish boxing just keeps going from strenght to strenght
Moorser, I checked on the RTE site.Yes he does fight at 70kg. **** this kid is a gem, he stopped his Kazistani opponent in the last 16 also.Theres no doubting he can punch:yep
frampton and mcguigan were on the bbc ni news...mcguigan reckons frampton will be world champ...its good to see frampton getting that sort of exposure, considering hes only starting out...hopefully it would be to long until he fights in belfast martin lindsay or big rogie
I personally don't care about those Cuban boxers, send them back to Miami and invest in some upcoming Irish prospects. They wouldnt be missed one bit. I'd rather pay to watch good upcoming Irish boxers who appreciate the fans support than some lazy egotistical Cuban/s.
I think its good what hyde is doing , dont forget he is running shows and taking a loss by all accounts . As for the cubans , for me it dosent matter what country they are from .Like with the klitskos . As ian brown said its not where your from its where your at that counts

I agree with all you are saying, but my point is that in this case those Cuban guys are thumbing their nose at Hyde, cut them loose and learn your lesson. When I go to watch live boxing, it is to appreciate good competitive bouts between quality boxers from any part of the world, but it is even better when there are a few upcoming Irish lads on the bill.
Does it count when they're registered as BRITISH boxers and BRITISH champions? It's a land of traitors.
I think McCloskey can be world champ. BUT I have a problem, you see I think McCloskey is a great boxer. I don't think Amir Khan is, I don't rate him, yet I can't see how McCloskey could beat Khan. You see my problem?
He could, if he can beat Lynes he can beat Khan. How exactly could Khan win? McClosky has good defence, a decent dig when he has to and isn't a washed up natural super-bantamweight with an axe wound over his head.
