how far do you reckon he could go? some say that he would be an atg. i dont think so. before his weakness came out, i was never of the belief that khan was going to be an atg. i felt that with time he could be the number 1 in his division like Hatton. i dont think that his ability has ever been out of this world. his speed is fast but nothing exceptional for that weight range his power is o.k. he does not have any exceptional defensive abilities.
Thanks for posting that, never seen a ringside view before. That dudes commentary is legendary-I know hes not commentating but still
The dude is a 5"10 lightweight who had a bad defence and didn't roll punches a stoppage loss was inevitable if he didn't improve, and it happened at the hands of a big-punching beast at 135 in Breidis Prescott who caught him with some huge punches. I'm convinced that one his chin will improve as he moves up in weight, two that he's gonna be rolling punches more and not getting caught flush and three, his defence has improved and he's gonna get caught less often. The guy can go far, he's got speed to rival anybody in boxing, he gave Pacquiao major problems in sparring early on with his hand speed, he's moving in and out, he sticks to his gameplan, he's keeping his hands up and offensively he's awesome. He's an excellent boxer and a very good technical fighter.
With a good chin he could rule his division and be ranked in the top 10 P4P. The way his chin is I think he can win world titles but it's hard to see him really go to far before someone KOs him.
Im sure Freddie Roach knows what he sees in Khan. Its as if he got knocked out by me. Props to Prescott won 21 (KO 18) + lost 0). Dont think Khan will make the same mistake twice.
nah. i don't think he's much of a technician. people talk about his athleticism. when I hear the word 'athleticism', I think of sweet pea, rjj, kindelan, hearns, young hopkins etc. Khan? not so much.
