Even those ages you mentioned is too old already. As I've said, generally fighters start their pro career during their late teens.
If he has his Dad's power and great chin he has a chance to develop his boxing craft over time to be a threat to top heavy's when he's around age thirty. It's doubtful he has his father's incredible natural gifts of chin and power though so he may just make some quick money on his name. Not a bad idea in this lousy economy. He is huge and should blow through a whole lot of tomato cans before he is exposed. I'll certainly watch his progress to see how he stacks up to the Great original George Foreman.
His dad had the amateur career and had like 30 cans to start his career off with. It's eating tomatoes at a level bordering on gluttony that leads to the Foreman family's bear-like strength.
With no amateur background, it is too late to start and win a world title. To go from complete novice at that age to world class fighter is virtually impossible. Then again, he probably isn't intending to be a champion, maybe just fight a few cans, then use his name to get some paydays. Will be interesting to watch.
How is 23/24/26 too old. Like I said previously and as you seem to have ignored - Nate Campbell is a fighter who didn't even take boxing up till he was 24.
I believe it was age 24. But still that's old to start a pro debut. And yes you do have a point, an outstanding amateur boxing background certainly does help
ray mercer started at 27 or 28 (turned pro) foremans son is born to millions....he wont be hungry like someone else that started at that age.....hard to get up and do road work..spar..hit bags...when you have millions in the bank....
