Angulo didnt fight how he normally does. I hate making excuses, but I think that HBO was right about him being ill a few days before the fight and having trouble making weight. He looked listless in the ring, very different from how he normally fights

 

look on the flip side... berto has been managed to perfection. dibella thought collazo was past it, otherwise he never would have got the match. look at forbes, good technician, no punch, even at his prime weight, then the cat he beats for his belt, then urango, a slow, one dimensional fighter dependent on his physical strength and punch at a lower weight... and hbo signs the checks for this ****... i dont blame him considering he can, but as a fan, am i really enjoying that ****... develop on espn. a zero shouldnt be the end all be all that it is

very fair statement indeed... i think that haymon and dibella accounted for that when he "won" the belt... if clottey or a paul williams was the first mandatory, i dont see him taking that belt like he did

 

Angulo fought the same is just cintron didn't let him get off like the others. Cintron is finally not relying on his power and he didn't bent down as much, and he decided to stay off the ropes and is actually getting better.
Angulo's team thought Cintron wasn't going to fight any different, but they were wrong.

 

How can you blame Angulos manager considering how Cintron fought martinez?

 

They did what promoters supposed to do: take a risk a deliver a good fight. Since promoters take so f*cking good care of their fighters' undefeated record, people buy the **** that because Calzaghe and Mayweather are undefeated, they are ATG#1 and #2. It's like one loss is end of the world. It isn't. Hopkins and the Marquez brothers debuted with a loss. Ortiz has one and still just 22. PacMan has 3, he's the legit P4P king.

It was nothing but fine and bold matchmaking, and backfired, and he lost. So what? People are excited because of something REAL (exciting brawling style) not some statistic BS, so it doesn't matter whether Angulo wins or loses as long as he keeps us excited. It wasn't even a bad loss or anything, and promoters can say El Perro took a risk too early and will learn from the defeat.

Shame on Angulo's manager and promoter? Sometimes boxing fans are just as bad 'feeding the 0-policy'.
