    You ignorant twat.

"Black" doesn't only refer to those from Africa. It might in America, but Mundine's not American.

"Even if some people may call aboriginals black". What, like Aborigines themselves you mean? "Stop calling yourselves black fella's, you're not African."

    Jesus, you are a dropkick.

    What colour are these blokes?

Black Americans weren't the only ones persecuted in the world you know.
Somebody else has listed things about the way the Australian Govt treated Aborigines, I won't go into it. there's plenty of things as bad, if not worse, than what happened in the US.

I am also australian, and i understand perfectly

Talking black, acting black and telling everyone that you are black at every opportunity does not make you black. Yes, he has aboriginal blood, but also a lot of white blood in there too

All i am saying is aboriginal superman would have been a far better moniker in my opinion then black superman, true?

mundine definitely hangs off the 'black' part of his heritage but he's also a bad ambassador for them - he knows that too.

mundine has never 'acted black', but he has used it as a defence to counter who he is in real life.

His facial features aren't those of a "caucasian" . He looks mixed.
His skin isn't black though...certainly not black like some of his ancestors.

reminds me of jason kidd. (has non-caucasoid facial features but pretty pale for a black guy...but he was mixed too)

need your eyes checked. obama has brown coloured skin. u guys need to stop nitpicking we all know now that black is used pretty much as a racial term for those of extremely dark skinned origins

no, and the more you say it, the bigger the fool you look.

Opinions are good, but several people have told you why he has every right to call himself black, so it's time to give it a rest.

    Thats precisely my point

Obama is dark. However, he is 50% white.

Now by the Mundines fans reasoning because he has aborginal blood in him, and aboriginals are black, therefore, he can very well be the "black superman" because he has black blood, despite that fact that his skin tone is anything but black. So, if you follow that exact logic, given that Obama has a lot of white blood in him, would it makes sense to call him the great white president even though he has clearly dark skin?

    Of course not!

Which is why Mundine calling himself "the black superman" also makes very little sense

But hey, its just my opinion. Whatever makes people happy i guess

Yes, if Obama had become president of a country that was historically and demographically overwhelmingly black, like say Nigeria, he would be considered the great white president. Are you starting to see how racial identity is about context and not just a colour now?

(BTW I'm not a Mundine fan, the guy is a knob jockey)

anthropologically there is a large difference between people of recent african origin(I mean we are all descendants of Africa) and native australians. the features are quite different, but, then again a large part of Africa is....north of the Sahara, which is distinctly non-black..so ...what :huh

but, mundine is, and always will be, a light skinned d!ck. his comments after 9/11 were totally in excusable.

Towards the end of his league career, when he first discovered the power of the press and mouthing off, he used to call himself the 'Original Aboriginal'.

I guess even he realised how illfitting that moniker was, given that he has been acting like a black American for as long as I can remember, and has never done anything original in his life.

He usually goes by the nickname 'The Man' but I first noticed him referring to himself as the Black Superman in the press conference before his fight with Antwun Echols, in which he also made a fool of himself by referring to himself as some gay character from the Lion King, which made Echols laugh out loud in disbelief

    Mundine is a dumb ****.

    A dumb, rich ****.
