Another Barrera-Morales Debate: Who had the more Embarrassing Loss?

I dunno. Was Pac getting his ass whipped and on the verge of quitting against a past prime Morales more embarrassing?:think

What about when Pac got KO'd by some no-names? Wasn't that more embarrassing?:think

 

None. Not even barrera vs junior jones. Period.

 

wasnt embarassing at all. no one cared about Manny during that time.10% of the country(Phil) knows he even existed when he got Koed by no names. Against Morales, he was outboxed but then, he wasnt a P4Per yet.no shame in losing to the great Eric Morales. In the case of MAB, he was expected to TKO or KO manny.

 

Neither of them had an embarrassing 3rd KO loss to a Singsurat or a Torrecampo!:think

 

Barrera fought too many years, if a boxer does that he is bound to lose sometime.

 

I wouldn't say either was embarrasing, but Barrera's loss to Pac is far more damaging to his legacy. Anyone with even a remote understanding of boxing is aware that Morales' loss to Raheem was when he was completely shot to **** and was one of the four consecutive losses that closed out his career. Barrera's loss to Pac was in his prime.

 

Barrera's focus was on his trilogy with Morales when he decided to take a tune-up fight against a lightly regarded Pac, who as it so happens, turned out to be one of the best fighters of this generation, how is that damaging to MAB's legacy.:huh

 

For the reasons I already stated. No one would ever claim that Raheem was better than Morales, everyone is aware that Morales was completely shot at this stage. Therefore the loss is regarded by most as irrelevant to Morales's legacy. Barrera however got smashed by Pac in the prime of his career. As a result you could never legitimately argue that Barrera is a better boxer than Pac. Although its blasphemy at the moment to say such a thing, you could however argue that Morales was superior to Pac given that Morales comfortably beat him (whilst in decline) once. This is how the Pac loss damages Barrera's potential legacy more than the Raheem loss damages Morales's.

 

How was Erik Morales shot when he fought Raheem? His last fight before that was against Barrera and that fight was close. Before that fight he fought Manny in what I think is Morales's best performance. Raheem was just a bad styles match up for Morales. Who always struggled against technical boxers.

I don't think any of these fights should be considered embarrassing at all.

 

When would you say he was shot? I would say he was past his prime in both the final Barrera and first Pac fight, and would be considered shot leading into his last four fights.

 

Morales was pretty much shot after beating Pacquiao..... but was definitely shot after the Raheem fight.

 

There should be no arguement on this.

Pac defeated MAB when MAB was the Ring belt holder at 126, MAB's real weight class.

Raheem beat Morales when Morales was encountering weight problem and tried to go up in the next higher division which is Raheem's weight class.

So MAB has the more embarrasing loss.:deal
