not now but back when roy just joined heavyweight .
for this fight i wondered. toney is skillful and very good chin.
roy jones is probably the best p4p of the past decade. fast/strong

The Jones that fought Ruiz vs the Toney that fought Holyfield would be a great fight. I'd have to favour Toney based on the fact that he was more natural at the weight.

sure would of been awesome. two men who met in middleweight meet in heavyweight.

Jones' style is all wrong for Toney. Jones would have hit him at will and then escaped before getting into any real danger. Jones by ud.

    Completely agree.
Roy at his best beats Toney every time imo, even at Heavyweight

Any version of Roy pre Tarver beats any version of Toney. Jones is all wrong for Toney, that medium range that Toney likes to fight at just does not work against an unorthodox sharpshooter like Jones.

It would be a good competitive fight though.

Jones woulda take it, Jone was amazing his decline started when he came back down, Toney's only chance woulda been earlier in his career cause he had more speed, Roy was way faster than toney at HW.

This is true and I wouldn't be surprised if Roy won but I would favour Toney. he was the bigger puncher at heavyweight and obviously had the excellent chin. I don't think that Roy could KO him and Toney might be able to wear him down and get to him in the later rounds.

I think Toney was far too immobile at Heavyweight to beat someone who gets in and out as fast as Roy.
