Give DLH a break! He fought better fighters than a lot of guys I can think of.

Infact, Campas was his first tune up in years, and DLH had just KO Vargas who held a solid win over Winky.

Oscar was one of the best boxers who ever lived. He was NEVER dominated (apart from the ridiculous Pac fight and maybe against Hopkins who is one of the best Middleweights ever not to mentioned Oscar has NO BUISINESS at 160) no matter who he fought.

Trinidad, Mayweather, Chavez, Vargas, STEROID BERSERK MOSLEY, Gatti, Mayorga, Quartey, Whitaker.

DLH's RESUME IS A WHOS WHO OF BOXING OVER THE LAST 12 YEARS.

These are just a few of the many exceptional fighters he faced. He has an EXCELLENT chin and brilliant boxing brain. To go the distance with all these amazing fighters or knock them out (again, apart from the Hopkins and Pac fights) it something truly special.

A Legend of the sport and one that we will not see again for quite some time.

Not a single person. For those of you who say Winky Wright... you have a very short memory. Winky turned down a fight with Oscar that would have taken place in Nov. 2005. It was all over the boxing websites, and common knowledge at the time.

Not every fighter can fight everyone so people will always say they ducked so and so. But DLH took everyone so I think he ducked the least amount of people. People just hate him because he's been losing and cause of the way he looks

Oscar offered Winky the highest pay day of Winky's career, but Winky said no.

hmmm to be honest , evrey body wanted to fight oscar, so basically many of the fighters mentioned de la hoya couldnt really have time to take

BUT if i could say 1 name then it would have to bean Kostya Tszyu, he was after the oscar fight for ages, but i cant recall any of oscar mentioning his name

and many people made claims he was ducking margarito later in his career which you can make a case for

Exactly. Anyone who claims DLH ducked Winky or Forrest is full of crap or is just repeating something he heard from some idiot.

Had DLH taken those fights(Winky/FOrrest) then people would be crying about how he ducked Hops and Vargas, which were the bigger fights anyway. !

Tszyu and Terry Norris were two other fighters that knocked themselves out of a DLH payday when they lost their fights(to Phillips and Mullins)!

I would have loved for him to have gotten a rematch with Tito right after the loss.

Karmizan was given step aside money to make the Vargas fight possible. I don't think anyone would call that a duck. There wasn't a single boxing fan at the time that would have prefered a karmizan fight over a Vargas fight.

    he does.

but he also priced himself out of rematches with mosley (3) and tito (2), which is a shame.

People can claim he ducked Wright and Forrest, but let's be honest...if there were more fighters with DLH's attitude the fans would get to see a lot more of the fights they wanted!!!

For sheer quality over quantity, I think Oscar may even have a case against SRR for quality competition. Chavez, Pea, PBF, Pac, Hopkins, Mosley...6 former p4p #1!
