I'm seeing Margo, Cotto, Taylor etc but Hatton is one of the 3 biggest draws in the sport and I don't even have him in my top 15 P4P list. Look at how many fans the guy has! Two Mega fights with Mayweather and Pac, and he got completely outclassed both times, badly....yet made millions and millions. No other fighter is getting such a misproportionate purse as compared to their ability.

Some people seem to confuse popularity with being overrated!! People in the UK love Hatton because of his personality rather than his talent....the great majority of his followers to vegas are very casual boxing fans.

It's a similar scenario we had with Benn and Eubank, I always thought Eubank was the better fighter but people loved Benn for his personality and his never say die attitude!!

As for the question, I'd have to say Audley in recent years!!! To be honest I think that Dawson is being overrated by people at the moment but I can recognise his talent and I guess only time will tell!!!

good call. he was brought up in a similar thread the other day. being the best amateur boxer in americas history will do that to you. the problem is amateur and pro ain't the same and he found out the hard way. Great talent but fell WAY short.

I'll throw in Donald Curry if he hasn't already been brought up

I'd go with Khan except for the fact that so many people on this forum saw the reality and not the circus. Sure the media hyped him but fans knew what he was from the get go

Calzaghe - 21 defences at super middle, beat Hopkins at light heavy. retired undefeated. Not Hype.

Haye - Unified cruiserweight after 21 fights. Debatable what he'll do that heavy. Not Hype

Hatton - Beat the best at the time at light welter, bossed LWW for 4 years, only lose to 2 P4P No 1's, one above his weight. Not Hype.

    Lacy - Hype

Khan - Debatable, depending if he rematches Prescott and who he fights and what he does at LWW.

hatton was/is not a hypejob..he was what he was.. a ballsy limited fighter who became more than his skills said he could be and wanted to challenge the best..no shame in that
