Pacquiao is the man to keep boxing on top. Someone exciting who moves forward unlike Mayweather who tends to dance away. Hopefully things will continue to go well for boxing. June is looking good too!

This notion that fighters that dont come forward are less fighters then guys that do is ******ed...Smart fighters fight in a manner that not only allows them to do what they do best, but also limits the chances of the other guy doing what he does best. I think the problem with so many of todays so-called BOXING fans it that they want to see toughman fights. Fights were both guys charge each other and sees who can take the most damage before falling. That isnt boxing, its a street fight. Not ever fighter is a KO artist, those that arent shouldnt try to do to make some bone headed fans happy.:good

You make a good point, I agree. But since it is the tough guys and KO artists that can get boxing going in the popularity contest, I must praise them. I respect Mayweather, but he doesn't do the trick, unfortunately. I am for whoever helps boxing become more mainstream. :smoke

Two counter punchers make for the worst events imaginable. All waiting and no action. It's also wiewed that a comeforward boxer puncher is not as skilled as a guy who is a defensive wizard which is absurd.
In modern years every guy who has good defense and can run around the ring to avoid punches is a atg or p4p great.
This is far from the truth a great boxer puncher facing a great counter puncher is just as much skilled it just matters who has mastered their way of fighting.
Just like a puncher may not like to counter a counter may not like to punch it is simply skills that each man use to their advantage.

I dont think so..I think that you confuse a boxer puncher(Mosley, Pac) with a bawler(Margo, Andrade) Most bawlers are not as skilled.

All 4 of those guys are come forward punchers.Mosley and Pac are simply more skilled and have mastered their fighting style.
Also they are much more athletic.

They all four fight going forward and that is were it ends for them being the same...Its more then skill, its the way that they fight. Shane and pac arent that interested in getting hit, but they will, Margo and Andrade dont care about being hit, and sometime they use getting hit as a way to get thier shots off. Were as a boxer only wants to hit and dont want to get hit at all. Its not because they cant take shots, or they arent tough, its because they dont want to give the other fighter any chance to beat them..yes it can be a boring style of fighting to watch at times, but that dont make them lesser fighters as smoe here would have you believe.

I agree Mosley and Pac practice defense alot more but its also their athleticism that helps them through this by being so fast.
It would be like comparing Floyd or Hop to Malignaggi.

Both styles have fighters practicing them with very high skillset .

Still confused as to why you're defending the most defensive of the boxers... we're not here to bash them, just praising those who are bringing excitement back to boxing :good

Totally agree with this, defensive, slick boxers are definitely the ones purists would enjoy watching. But you also have to give the aggressive fighters props because they are the kinds of fighters that make the sport more popular.
