I'm a huge Pac fan - but I'm so sad to say I can't see him beating Shane.

Some people are delusional if they think Pacquiao is very brave of fighting Mosley at 144 or 143 pounds in which Mosley hasn't fought lower then 147 pounds in 10 freaking years. Mosley is doing exactly what De la hoya did by thinking money too much and not thinking in his head of what his body is going to indoor. I don't like this one bit. Why don't Pac just fight Mosley at 147 pounds to prove he's the truely number 1 p4p?

you forgot how Cotto needed two of the last 4 rounds to pull off a win against Mosley

and you forgot how Cotto is also one of the best fghters in the world.

with the ****ing stupid fans around here, its easy to see why fighters avoid taking on the best. Lose a close fight and you'll get shat all over.

Pac can win. I won't expect him to, but he can. A lot depends on the catch-weight.

An older fighter who's pretty much all muscle when weighing in at 147 could do damage to himself physically by going down to 144 or 143 or whatever it will be. Throw in that Pac has a fairly big advantage in footspeed, that he throws shorter, more precise, and faster shots, and has unpredictable movement, and his chances aren't that bad.

In the end he'll probably just get overwhelmed by Mosley, but it's not a guarantee that he will lose, not at all imo.

At anyweight? Well Pacquiao don't feel the same confident as you do cause he's not brave enough to fight Mosley at Mosley weight class in the ww that is at 147 pounds. Pacquiao, Roach, Arum all knows that 3 or 4 pounds under 147 pounds is Pacquiao big advantage.

Well its maybe not all doom and gloom

Mosely looked complete **** against the very limited wild brawler Ricardo "Smoky Bandit" Mayorga. Margarito was slower than sloth on temazepam. Mannys speed will trouble Shugga Shane

If they drain him too much he could be rendered useless. I hope to god they dont pull that one again, but if they do, they could render the Shuggary One diabetically devoid

I think this fight is a mistake from Team Pacquiao. Beating DLH was not impossible in Roach's view, he knew of all DLH's issues, shoulder pain, being badly faded, predicatble weight problems. He knew Pac would be a beast at 140 and Hatton would walk right into his punches (open style, issues vs. southpaws, physical signs of aging, punch resistence issues).

But Mosley is different. With Nazim Richardson, I guarantee that Shane won't be heavily drained or drained at all and still be able to bring huge WW power physical strength to the ring, which is clearly over PacMan's physical limit (149 pounds). It's a big mistake, because Shane is not at all easy to beat. Still very decent speed, good defense, very good stamina, superb chin, great power, very high skill level.

It's just the wrong fight for Pacquiao, he doesn't have to fight a WW monster who comes in at 160. Mayweather is different, 150 is his most, just like Pac's. No wonder why Floyd refused to fight a beast like Cotto or Mosley, they are incredibly strong at WW. As calulated as his previous 2 were, PacMan might be too brave for his own good, Shane is all bad for him.

    I agree with you.
Think Shane will win but can't never count Pac out.

Well why didn't Floyd fight Winky at 160 in '06 when Wright was p4p#5 (around the same as Mosley is now) to prove he was truly number 1 p4p?

Because he would be giving away far too much weight and there was no need to do so. Pac IS a naturally much smaller and lighter man, it is a futile gesture to give his opponent every possible advantage out of choice.

Man it is a shame! Four of my fav fighters squaring off. I have tracked the careers of SSM, PBF, Pacman, JMM well before they were household names. I admire and respect all of them. It is a shame someone has to lose in these fights. I think PBF will beat JMM handily and SSM has to much for Pacman. As a boxing fan i love to see these fights, but as a fan of these boxers I am bothered.

I think Pac can beat Shane. Don't let the Margarito slaughter fool you. Shane looked good because Margarito is slow, and likes to block punches with his face.
Shane's legs are not there any more. His hands are still quite good, but his legs are gone. A good fighter that can move has an excellent chance of beating Mosley. Pac can do it.

as it is, pac is willing to fight mosley. there is still negotiations to be done on where they would meet and how much would each get. there is no definite catchweight yet. as of present, pac gets some valor points for accepting a dangerous fight like this which some welters doesn't seem to want.
