There is something very strange happening in the Haye camp right now. It's been nearly 12 hours since Haye pulled out of the fight, but there is still no definitive announcement about the exact nature of the injury.

Haye himself is being kept in isolation for some reason. The media is not being allowed near him. This is very odd considering that Haye is usually very verbal.

Strangest of all, doctors and medical people are not making statements about Haye's status. The only announcements made so far have come from Haye's lawyer.

"We received an email this morning from Haye's attorney. He said Haye was injured but he didn't tell us the injury," Klitschko's manager Shelly Finkel said.

I also thought this was rather strange. Unless Haye was seriously hurt I would have expected him to at least give an interview to Setanta and tell us what the hell happened.

This is incredibly strange. It's been about 12 hours since Haye's lawyer first made the announcement, and Haye has not made a public appearance.

That a lawyer would be the front man for an alleged injury -- an injury still undefined after 12 hours -- tells us something.

Most likely Haye has suffered some kind of stress related collapse, and his handlers are keeping the media away until a suitable physical injury can be figured out. Don't be surprised to hear soon that Haye has suffered a back injury -- something like whiplash -- as that's an injury that doctors can't disprove.

It's obvious that Haye's handlers don't want anyone to hear him talk. They are trying to hide something. There is no explanation for this except mental stress, or emotional exhaustion.

**** knows what is going on, until we hear a statement all that's going to happen is more and more speculation. Which means we'll have to put up with Klit-huggers talking **** about how Haye pulled out because the terror of fighting the indestructable Wlad finally got to him.

I guess it's too early to say Haye is scared, but I'll say it anyway. Haye is nervous and decided to delay the inevitable until his stones grow bigger.

hmm says... you guys think that this might be a ploy for Haye to build up the fight? Maybe the fight might still happen and this so-called injury could be a fail-safe/excuse if he gets beat to save face from all the trash dished out. I ain't hatin on Haye but it's a facked up picture...all those tickets sold, the title at stake, fight kilts 3 times contract, etc. It's a big if........ and I want legit news.

It seems like Haye is injured too bad to make any sort of press release.

Haye's managers would have made the announcement for him if that were the case. I have been following boxing for many, many years and this is the first time I have seen an injury related cancellation handled this way.

The weirdest thing I've seen before is that a fighter cancels a fight while publicly announcing a specific injury, and then spends days resisting demands that a doctor be allowing to examine him. But even then, at least the fighter and his manager are publicly talking. This is not the case with Haye, though.
