come on, they would've only been seperated by 4 pounds...it would've happened.... look at barrera and morales...122, 126 and 130 :good
What the hell, I'll bite. First off, we're not even sure yet if we've seen Pac's prime so there is some room to grow here. However, even at this point I could see him beating Chavez. Chavez didn't always have a great answer for speed (Taylor, Whitaker) and Pac is no longer a one dimensional slugger. Pac doesn't just back up anymore, he can move side to side and fire punches not only very quickly, but with really good power. Was there someone comparable that Chavez beat who had the speed/accuracy/power of Pac? I'm not sure there was. I also don't buy the idea that Chavez could necessarily "take whatever Pac could dish out with a smile on his face". Just because he took everything from the guys in his era doesn't mean that he will be able to take it from anyone ever. Just because Monzon took Griffith's best doesn't mean he could have taken Hearn's or Mcllellan's best. The question then is "Is Pac that good of a puncher to be considered in that light?". From what he's shown against guys like Barerra and Morales and Diaz and such, he can certainly drop guys that don't get dropped by just anyone. For some reason the only guy who's ever considered as able to beat prime JCC is Duran, but we should be open to the idea that maybe we're seeing someone on that level now and not just go with the "prejudice of time" where it's assumed that that old timers are necessarily better than everyone today.
