Fighters Careers that are suffering due to Mismanagement

    Who are The guys that managed differently could be so much more? The sport of boxing and the fans are being ripped off and these fighters are suffering at the hands of incompetent stupid and greedy, clueless management:Nonito DonaireMikkel KesslerJorge LinaresJuan Marquez has been screwed and mismanaged in the past it seems.Calzaghe: I dont know if it was Joe being gutless or idiots at the controls but this guy could have been so much more and a carreer that should have made obscene Millions just wimpered away, do you guys have any other names of current or past Champs getting the shaft because of incompetent or clueless management

    Anyone like Calzaghe and Erdei only have themselves to blame. If you want to the big fights you have th grab them by the balls. Just look at Haye and Froch.

    Someone like Marquez however has been APPAULINGLY managed. Marquez is one of the best fighters to ever lace on a pair of a gloves and he is still taking home 20% of the purses.

    Erdei has a CONTRACT. He was even about to refuse to fight the cans Kohl was handing him as "title defenses", and complained loud and multiple times to any media that listened. Also live on TV. Without his contract running out, he CANNOT go to another promoter. He even went as far as almost forfeiting his title by not fighting back more than a little bit, to provoke Kohl, but that one ignored him. Erdei bluffed, Kohl called it, Erdei lost. He can make a comfortable life keeping champion sticking to his contract, as opposed to losing money sitting it out on the bench with no fight.

    On the list of people whose career suffers I would place most of Palles fighters, most notable Kessler, most of Kohl / Universum fighters, most notably Erdei. Plus perhaps a shipload of cuban fighters who signed with some random niche promoter promising them the big cash without them checking before signing, to vanish onto toughman contest shows in Eerie, Indiana.

    Nice one. Interesting. I watch German boxing often on ZDF and/or ARD but never saw Erdei actually complaining. Can you be more specific or do you have sources? Would be interesting;)
