How can an athlete train 2 to three times a day for 8 to 12 weeks for a fight, running, sparring, lifting weights, doing stomach exercises and eating good only to come in looking like big couch potatoes. I really don't understand it.
Maybe not, but they will be training hard at least 5 days a week which you would think would transform you into looking somewhat like an athlete.
They probably don't train enough/and or/ eat far too much. Disgraceful really. They are robbing themselves of their true potential.
Heavies one are bigger now than the old days but also seem to take advantage of no weight limit. Frazier for instance weighed around 212. He could have work hard for 5 days a week and then weighed in at 228 and not been the same. Heavy's need to work their ASSES off, same as everyone else, to get to their ideal weight, not just what they feel like showing up at.
I used to wonder the same thing. Then they opened up a chinese buffet across from my house. I have to imagine there's one across the street from Gabe Brown's house. Hell Gabe Brown might've had one built in his kitchen.
Because they're allowed to be. Arreola, for example, is probably going to keep turning up fat until he gets it handed to him, after which he might consider getting into shape.
These lazy *******s aren't training ever day and you can cut maybe half those things mentioned off the list because it's clear they're not doing all of that.
If you don't watch what you eat, you can work out all you like and you'll still be fat. Then there is the lay offs. fighters don't workout unless they have a fight coming up, they balloon up in weight in between training camps. As for the training, judging by the amount of skill on display I'd say that the average heavyweight does not train all that hard.
First, I hate you and people like you. :hey Yes, some people are fortunate enough to have the metabolism to eat what they want and still stay slim. I wish I was one of those.
