Is Toney-Wlad More Entertaining In Your Mind then Chagaev-Wlad?

Haha yeah let's all make fun of Toney now... but just have a look at Toneys record and compare it to Wlads - Toney has fought better quality opposition and he's never ever been stopped. How many HOFs and ATGs has Wlad fought? Do you think Toney would have been stopped by Brewster? Toney whooped Brewster like a boy in sparring, Brewster said that himself. And before you start saying yeah yeah but Toney also lost to Drake Thadzi, well so what, Wlad got stopped by Ross Puritty. I really didn't mean to bash on Wlad here, but you guys give me no other choice. Considering Toneys exceptional career I really don't get how you guys can disrespect the man now. Who else can boast such a resume? And yes, Wlad would probably beat Toney at this point, maybe even stop him, but he does that to the other HWs out there too, right? And where will Wlad be when he's 40?

The Toney from 2004, who stopped Holyfield (considered a top5 HW by the Ring at the time, and who got robbed against Valuev only last year) would have given Wlad a hell of a fight. Toneys style is all wrong for Wlad, he'd negate the jab and expose his poor inside fighting skills.

Another thing, while it's true that Toney priced himself out of a fight with Vitali, something he admitted himself, he also said that he's never been offered a fight with Wlad. Rumours on boxing forums aren't proof he's been offered a fight with Wlad.

As a Mayweather fan you're not in the position to blame other fighters for 'running like a chicken', as you put it. And certainly not James Toney.

When exacty has Wlad called out Toney? Toney was offered a fight with Vitali three years ago, not Wlad. Toney being offered a fight with Wlad is only rumours started on some boxing forums, it's never been official.

But we all know you don't like Toney anyway and try to put him down wherever you can. But that's ok.

A rematch with Rahman better than Toney? I still don't get why Wlad chose to fight Rahman instead of Toney as a replacement for Povetkin. Toney made Rahman quit in three rounds, everybody knows that regardless of the official outcome of that fight. Toney was ready to step in as a replacement then, just as he was this time.

Wlad-Chagaev=Legitimate title fight between a top ranked HW and the HW 1#

Wlad-Toney=Fat black man getting bludgeoned to death and collapsing from a brain hemorrhage.

We all know Toney beat Samuel Peter in their first encounter, and he did better there than Wlad did.

He is joke at hw. Always was, Your view on James is based on win over badly faded Holyfield who lost to Chris Byrd before getting embarrased against Toney.

Toney is a no treat and tailor made for Wlad. Wlad would tie that little Chunk inside.

Okay, I'll admit it. I was a Toney fan at one time but it's hard to cheer for a guy who doesn't come into the fight in shape. Toney WAS a great fighter, certainly a HOF'er & all time great but that was then & this is now.

    That really says it all.

Chagaev offers belts and prestige. Not entertainment.

Toney would definitely be a more entertaining fight for the reasons I suggested earlier.

This does not of course mean it would necessarily be more valuable but then that's not the question is it?

Perhaps they can arrange something afterwards.

What's the current situation with IBF & WBO mandatories?

Isn't Arreola one of them? I've kinda lost track.

    True.

Only Vitali has performed more impressively against Peter than Toney did.

Toney would whip all these so called champs if he could just get himself in shape...... sadly this has been the case most of his career

I think Toney vs Wlad is more entertaining as far as the promotion goes and also to see whether someone can stop Toney at HW. I think my fav fighter would get smashed though.

I say Toney vs Haye to build Hayes US profile and then a match with a Klit brother....I give James a much better shot to beat Haye than Wladdy.
