Plenty of Saturday night boxing coming up

So, providing setanta can stick around for a few weeks, there is quite a lot of Saturday night Boxing after a few quiet weeks.

Saturday 13th June-John Murray v Scott Lawton (itv4), Miguel Cotto v Joshua Clottey (Setanta Sports 2)
Saturday 20th June-possibly Wladimir Klitschko v Ruslan Chagaev (Setanta Sports 1, or bizarrely Sky sports according to boxrec)
Saturday 27th June-Amir Khan v Andreas Kotelnik (Sky Box Office), Artur Abraham v Mahir Oral (Setanta Sports 1)
Saturday 4th July-Tony Quigley v Brian Magee (Setanta Sports 1)
Saturday 18th July-Nathan Cleverly v Danny McIntosh (itv4), Floyd Mayweather Jnr v Juan Manuel Marquez (Sky Box Office)

Of course, most of that is dependent on how long Setanta stick around, but if they do for now, theres plenty of boxing on TV in the next month.

 

I'd say very unlikely, especially as now it doesn't say so on the boxrec schedule. Odd.

Well I'll be damned. according to that, its definitely on-which is great news really. I check that page a couple of times a week to see if its been updated with the latest FFN's, and its finally been updated.

Just checked the sky website and its on there as well now, although the date is down as July 18th, which must be just a misprint.

I guess they'll mention it on Friday Fight Night tomorrow, and hopefully this is the start of much more Boxing on sky.

EDIT: With a fairly decent undercard, I'm hoping they give this three hours. With the main event likely to take an hour, the rest of the card could be really rushed.
